Question about two reservations

we are renting points for our upcoming trip, but ended up renting from 2 owners to get the number of points needed. So we will have 2 reservations. But both are at the same DVC and category. So 2 questions...1) can we stay in the same room? And 2) will we get 2 sets of bands? Thanks!

You will get two bands.

If the owners would work together they could get the reservations linked for a "continuing" stay. If not then talk to the front desk about it when you check in at the resort and they will more than likely be able to keep you in the same room.

You'll still have to check in again on the change day and any DP options would have to be specific for each segment.

You will get two bands.

I don't think you HAVE to get two sets of magicbands. You will have two sets available to you on the MyDisneyExperience site, but if you don't customize the second set (don't choose colors or names), I think they won't send them to you.

They won't send them (as long as you don't verify the address or customize them) but they will have grey bands waiting at checkin.

I was told nearly a year ago that Tech Support can suppress a MB order completely. I haven't done it. Nor has anyone else as far as I know. Wish someone would try! :)

I have experienced this recently. Booked a Ressie on points rented and purchased add on days. Although in the "perfect world" they would always let you stay in the room, it is based on availability. I jumped through hoops as a DVC member to get my 2 ressies hooked at OKW, only to arrive and find they could not do it due to capacity, blah, blah. This used to be much easier in the past then my last 2 rent/use my own points/cash ressies. It seems more difficult as of late.
We ended up being upgraded if you can believe that (1st time ever using DVC...but my HH Cat 1 Bed was not avail due to construction) so we could stay and not move rooms.
When you check in, the 2 reservations should be brought to their attention. Before being physically on property, they will not discuss with the "renter". Good luck but don't be disappointed if you have to move, it is the price you may pay to have 2 ressies. I have also moved. The pain is the moving and the long block of time without access to a room between checkout and check in but any day at Disney is better than being at home.
