I have decided that a good way to get through my Disney excitement without driving the family crazy is to start a PTR.:dancer:

I will let everyone know up front that sometimes my mind jumps all over the place so this could be a wild ride.:drive:

I love the little smilies so if they annoy you please stop reading this now because I would hate for you to get angry with me.:worried:

You started your PTR!! Here and ready to follow along! popcorn::

First let me tell you a little about the family.

Me:wave2:- I am the Mom, wife, and Nanette (my special grandma name. I just combined my name Annette and Nana) I love almost all things Disney and I love to plan our vacations. To me the months or years I do research and planning is part of the fun. The rest of the family IS NOT like me. They get annoyed if I mention it to much. :confused3 If I had to guess how many times I have been to Disney it would probably be over 30 but most of them were in my teens and early 20's

DH- He lets me plan the vacations and follows along.:love2: He is okay with Disney but also wouldn't be upset if we didn't go. I limit how much I talk to him about the trip because he starts to see $$$ and gets a little freaked out about it. o_O

DD Brittany- Has been to Disney many times and really enjoys it. She has been out of school a few years and is excited about taking her daughter for her first trip to Disney. princess:

DD Ellen- is starting high school this fall and she almost has my Disney planning gene. :earboy2: She is your typical teen.

DD Natalie- is starting middle school this fall and she is the one who complains the most about my preplanning. She tells everyone that I am "Disney Crazy":stitch2: and doesn't want me to tell her anything about the trip until we are about ready to go.

DS James (JC)- He will be starting 4th grade and was born on my birthday so I call him my birthday baby. :bday: He has only been to Disney 3 times and doesn't really remember the first 2 trips. He did get his first tooth at Disney World so I bought him a Stitch bib that said "teething at Walt Disney World" He was a major Buzz Lightyear fan and I am sad to see him growing out of that phase. :sad1:

DGD Brookelynn- Princess Brookelynnprincess: as I call her was born this past April. She is the inspiration behind this entire vacation. She is a very good baby and I am fortunate enough that they all live with me so I get to spend lots of quality time with her. She is already a fan of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse::MickeyMo and I take full credit for that. :cloud9:

That's us in a nutshell. party:

Anytime I post I am sure that I have some cleaning :laundy: that I should be doing but just get sucked into Disney mode and can't stop myself.

A couple weeks after I found out about DGD I got the idea in my head about planning her 1st trip to Disney. :hyper2: The plan has also been a great distraction because I lost a sister in Dec 2014 very unexpectedly and it has been very hard to deal with. :sad2: I guess planning has been a sort of therapy for me. She loved Mickey Mouse and I had the pleasure of going to Disney with her so it also helps me remember some of the fun times we had together.

ON TO TRIP PLANS

I am not a fan of heat:sunny: but with Ellen going into high school I didn't really want to take her out of school for a week.:teacher: so I planned the trip for the day after they get out of school. So June 3-11 2016 is now booked for us to party with :smickey: and some of his friends.:stitch::simba:pluto::figment::eeyore::tinker:::MinnieMo:sulley::goofy::dumbo::donald:

We will be staying in a family suite at All Star Music:charac2::rolleyes1:rockband: and we will be getting the Disney dining plan for the 1st time. :yo-yo::cool1::dancer::woohoo:party:Bring on the food.:drinking1popcorn:::cake:

Since this is our first Disney dining experience I have spent a lot of time thinking about where we are going to eat. :mickeybar

As it stands right now this is the plan (it has changed a couple times). I am going to list them in order of how I believe I will need to make the ADR's to get what I want so if anyone sees something that I might need to change please share.:)

ADR
Be Our Guest lunch *even though it is quick service it appears to still be one of the harder ones to get reservations for. I am not thrilled with the menu but Ellen really wants to eat here.:rose:
Princess Breakfastprincess: in Norway (the new Frozen ride should be open so I am really hoping that Anna and/or Elsa might be added to the princesses in attendance.pixiedust:

Ohana breakfast :stitch2: we have done this in the past and I LOVE THE JUICE.

Garden Grill in Epcot :mickeyjumI really didn't know that it had gotten so hard to make reservations here but maybe it has something to do with them only being open for dinner now.

Hoop Dee Do :ssst: this one is a secret to everyone except DH. I originally decided that I would not use 2 dining credits for one meal but then found out from this site that we can share meals at the sit down meals as long as everyone has a dining plan. :disrocks:So after many many years (we're talking high school) I am finally going to make it back to one of my very favorites.:hyper: So the plan is to go here the night we arrive in Orlando and then head to the room to swim or relax before we start in the parks the next day.

The Fantasmic Hollywood and Vine lunch with the Playhouse Jr characters. I know that it is not really needed to get into Fantasmic but I love the fact that they will let you sit and wait verses standing in line and waiting. DH has a very bad back so this is very helpful to our family.

Rose and Crown I asked my DH what is the one restaurant that he wanted to make sure we ate at and this was his pick. The menu looks good so I am for it. This is one of the ones that we will share meals at so we can add in the Hoop Dee Do. It should not be a problem and I don't feel we will go hungry.:rotfl:Does anyone know what time I should get if we want to see illuminations while we are eating?

50's Prime Time Café this has always been one of my favorites. I love the theme and feel of the place. This will be the other restaurant where we will share. ::yes::

I still have one more Table service credit I can pick. I was going to do the Hollywood and Vine breakfast and the Fantasmic Mama Mia (or something like that) but then I realized that we can now do the Hollywood and Vine which has the characters as a fantasmic option so that opened up a new table service for us. I am going to look around and if nothing jumps out at me I might actually leave this open and decide while we are at the park. I can't believe I said that.:upsidedow

Some of our MUST DO quick service meals are:
DHS Pizza Planet. Some people don't care for it but after watching all the Toy Story movies so many times we love it.

AK Flame Tree we are not planning (as of right now) to do any table service meal on the AK day and this seems like a great choice for that day.

We plan to share a lot of our QS meals especially breakfast so I think we can get away with buying very few meals out of pocket.:yay:

Some MUST DO snacks
dole whip float
funnel cake
cupcakes from starring rolls because they look yummy.

We plan to spend one day in Epcot simply centered around the World Showcase so it will hopefully go something like this. Breakfast at Norway then a snack tour around the countries. We will each use a snack credit and share that snack so that gives us 6 snacks to share which we will use at Mexico, China, France, Germany, Japan, and the Showcase plaza. Then we will finish out the day at the Rose and Crown for dinner.

DH only drinks water and I mostly drink water so we are going to get a water filter bottle and use those to keep from buying so many water bottles. I DO NOT LIKE THE TAP WATER IN DISNEY.:guilty: The kids are not bothered by it so if they get thirsty during the day I am going to let them get the free water you can get all around the parks. I am sure they will drink soda with the meals.

I do have a list of possible snacks and QS options but I won't bore you with that.:bored:

That is it for food right now. :D

disneybook.jpg

I GOT THIS IN THE MAIL ON FRIDAY!!!! :cool1: I am not going to lie and tell you that I was not way more excited than I should have been. I took pictures of the book and DGD, DS holding the book, oldest DD wouldn't so I put it on her back and took a pic :rotfl2:, DH with DGD and the book and lastly, Me holding DGD and the book. :rotfl:I thought it was just an advertisement because it is the same size as the planning DVD's they send but thankfully I opened it.:cool2:

So it was a no go on just waiting and finding the other Table Service restaurant when we get to Disney. :duck:

I have decided to add two more which we will share.

Sci Fi dine in- I think most of the kids have been here but don't really remember it. :yoda:

Coral Reef Restaurant-I think I went once as a teen or preteen. Not one of my favorites but a nice atmosphere. :fish:

If I can't get the Coral Reef when I want it since I am only doing 2 Epcot days and already have 3 other table meals I am limited to lunch on the day I do dinner at the Garden Grill. I am thinking about Magic Kingdom Plaza as a backup.

My brain is still constantly coming up with plans or stuff that I can plan.:hyper:

I thought I would share some of the things I am doing to help pass the time until Disney.

I listen to Live 365 Disney stations all the time. :rockband:DH is not a fan of this at all. o_O I guess maybe because I have been to Disney so many times that I can imagine being right there. He has only been 3 times:crazy2: so he just doesn't get it at all.

I get on the Disboards very often.:disrocks:

I have lost 30 pounds in the last 10 months and hope to lose another 30 before next June. Almost every morning I walk 5 miles on the treadmill.:tiptoe: To help that go by faster I read Disney email I get from like 3 different sites. I won't allow myself to look at those emails unless I am on the treadmill. I didn't get to walk this morning because I am feeling  and tomorrow my dad is having surgery and we have to be at the hospital at 5am so Saturday I should have a bunch of email to read.:woohoo:

I love looking :surfweb: for different outfits for Princess Brookelynn princess: to wear at the parks. I plan to have her a theme outfit for everyday. I can't really buy anything yet because she is 3 months old and I don't really know for sure what size she will be next June. I think I will have a better idea at the beginning of next year. I work a seasonal job (Jan-April) so I will do most of my shopping online.

All my ringtone and notifications on my phone are Disney right now. I love when my sister sends me a text because it is the Main Street Electrical parade music. party:DH is also not thrilled with the fact that his personal ringtone is "Fixer Upper" :rotfl2:Tried to convince him that we should renew our vows :bride::groom: when we are at Disney but he said absolutely not. If I come across a million dollars or so I am totally going to make that dream come true. :genie:

I have 3 different count downs on my phone.:hourglass 1)days until we leave for Disney (as of right now I have 28476571 seconds or 474609 minutes or 7910 hours) 2) when I can make my ADR's and 3) when I can make my FP+

Seems like a long time so I think just keep swimming:fish:

Over the weekend one of my SIL's said she was interested in possibly joining us next June. I sent her a lot of info. We also discussed Nov 2017. She has talked it over with her SO and she is not going in 2016 but still might in 2017. She also suggested we could use her camper and save money. I let her know that I was not a camping sort of girl but it would be something to consider. I told DH and he ruled out he camping idea. He likes the feel of the hotels.

Yesterday was a stressful day :crazy2::headache: and I wish I would have had time to just lose myself here on the Disboards. It's my stand-in happy place until I finally get back to WDW!:mickeyjum

Wow! Okay seems I missed a bunch here! Stupid notifications! :headache:

Your ADR's sound great! I agree with the BOG lunch menu, I just stick with dinner there. I love me some Sci-Fi and Prime Time! ::yes::

Great job on your weightless! :thumbsup2 That is a good motivation idea you have there! I very rarely hit up the treadmill at the gym (or the dreadmill as I call it!) but that is a good incentive!

I hear you on the long wait time to do anything! I think I'm 419 days to go now!

I love that you have different ringtones! :rotfl:

I am with you 100% about the camping thing! Nope and nope for me! :lmao:

I'm sorry to hear you are having a stressful time

But I agree that the DIS is the perfect place for taking your mind off things. :disrocks:

I am glad you think the ADR plans sound good. I know you have spent a lot of time thinking about these things as well.

Love the cookie monster. That is exactly how I feel some days like I am just watching every single second go by until next June. "No, family I can't clean the house and fix supper. I am busy watching the second hand on the clock.":lmao:

Definitely not a camping girl. I did stay at Fort Wilderness many times as a child and it is great but my tastes have changed now.:crowded:

This is for you. Plus thanks for the info on inserting one of these bad boys.

This is what happens to Princess Brookelynn when we are looking around on the Disboards.:rotfl2:

Just precious. She is just adorable.

I'm not a camping kind of girl either. Don't blame you there.

Isn't it great that we can come here and plan and get our WDW fix, and this way we don't drive our friends and family nuts talking about planning. :D

Hey I'm back. I should warn you that I am a big Carrie Underwood fan so this will not be the only time she pops up in my PTR. I am a member of her fan club and have been since 2008 so I will be honest and tell you that I am NOT her biggest fan. Some of those people have me beat hands down. :rolleyes1

It has been a busy week this past week. My dad had surgery and is at home doing pretty good now. :crutches:He's not on crutches but I am hoping that I have no use of this cute smilie in the future so I thought I would use it.

I have been reading other people's PTR and TR's even the wedding ones even though I have no plans of having a Disney Wedding in my future. I did give my DH some numbers and talked about a vow renewal :crazy2: Let's just say without winning the lottery that is not going to happen. :confused3 I was lucky enough to be in a wedding at the Disney Wedding Pavilion along side all of my kids. It was a once in a lifetime thing. The experience was great the marriage unfortunately was over after 1 year.

I found an awesome website with some great Disney clothes and Princess dresses for a very good price.
200.gif
I do not enjoy going to the stores but I love to shop online. :surfweb:
We have a general idea of what we want Princess Brookelynn to wear at every park but I can't order anything yet because I am not sure what size she will be in. :scratchin I am guessing she will be in a 12 months but if she hits a huge growth spurt she could be in a 18 month so we are waiting until next March or so to order. :bored:MORE WAITING:bored:

I think I have narrowed down what FP+ that I want but will wait until I am sure before I add it.

@MataHari22 I just noticed you have a PTR so I am going to head over and read it.

So I found out today that my DH has no idea what's Disney and what is not. I have failed as his wife.

:sad::sad1::sad2:

I was looking around for t-shirts because I would like us to have some cool pictures and I asked him who his favorite Disney character was.:earsboy:

His reply- Tasmanian devil Me-o_O that is not Disney
Him- Bugs Bunny Me- :crazy2: No that is also Looney Tunes
Him- Minions Me- :scared:No that is Universal.
200.gif

As I teach Brookelynn all about Disney characters I guess I will have to teach him too.

I really think he knows more than he remembers right now. One DD loved Boo so we watched Monsters Inc a lot DS loved Buzz Lightyear so we have seem all Buzz Lightyear shows enough to go through multiply VHS and DVD copies of them.
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is on at my house at least 75% of the time. He could have even said POCpirate:

Just got caught up! You are becoming a total gif addict like me! :thumbsup2 I love it! :rotfl:

Brookelynn is so cute! :goodvibes

Hope your dad is still doing well

I have priced up Disney weddings before :rolleyes1 Not that I need to worry about that now! :rolleyes2

Oh dear...I know that feeling with non-Disney obsessives (or as I like to call them wrong )

His reply- Tasmanian devil Me-o_O that is not Disney
Him- Bugs Bunny Me- :crazy2: No that is also Looney Tunes
Him- Minions Me- :scared:No that is Universal.
