we recently bought a resale with different UY than our other membership (& different DVC log in).

do I have to create an entirely new MDE log in for the "new" membership? & if they remain separate, can I keep the same APs/vouchers #'s in both?
thanks so much for the help!

If you titled the contract exactly the same on the deed, it should just show up as a dropdown option in your existing member portal :).

You don't even need a DVC membership for your MDE. You just enter the reservation number. But if you have two DVC memberships, titled differently, you will probably have a separate DVC log in for the new membership. You'll have different reservation numbers using two different memberships, so you just put in both reservations in MDE.

it's a totally different membership (we've 3 contracts under our 1st membership so understand what you're saying). thank you for the input tho :goodvibes

yup, MS stated that the different memberships (which these are) cannot have the same email or log in - since Disney sites all use the same log in, I wasn't sure if I could cross-reference reservations, etc in MDE.
ETA: crud, tried entering the DVC reservation # from the "new" membership - MDE informed me that the reservation is already linked to "Laurie" (aka me:o), and I apparently need to contact myself. that was a good suggestion, though - thank you.....I wonder if it would be possible/easy to just "invite" my friend (aka primary membership) to all plans under the new membership - and visa-versa :scratchin

Think of all the guests who rent DVC vacation. They don't own them. They just enter the reservation number. You should be able to enter the reservation number without any problem.

So the new contract is titled differently? We have three contracts, two master and one add on. They all show up under one DVC log in. Just have to go to the drop down box to hit the member ID number for the Dec contract or Sept contracts.

We have 2 DVC log-ins. When MDE started, it was a mess with reservations showing up in 2 different MDE accounts. I contacted MDE support and they were able to straighten some of the mess out. The best thing you can do is to just pick one of the MDE account and use it exclusively, never open the other. Once a reservation is linked to an account it stays there. It took a couple of trips (but we have 7-8 DVC stays per year) until everything was in one account.

Just because you have 2 DVC log-ins, you do not have to have 2 MDE log-ins. Your MDE profile will however only reflect 1 ownership, but that is OK with me. Much easier to have everything in the just one MDE account.

OP, I am in your position.
Two memberships in DVC.
MDE only allows one membership.
Place all your reservations from either DVC membership into one MDE. You can not have AP, etc in multiple MDE accounts, I had a heck of a time trying to get MDE to work that way for me and it just would not do so. Multiple calls to DVC & MDE and finally about 156 days later I got someone who explain MDE to me, to find out I could not do what all I was trying to do.

:thumbsup2 BIG thank you, LauraLea & com_op_2000!!!

just as you each said, adding new DVC member info into original MDE user account worked! TY for "taking one for the team";), & saving me those hours with MS!!!

Wow, so all y'all's DVC reservations automatically show up in MDE? I only have one login each, with the same credentials, and they never seem to link up. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I always just assumed that's how it worked.

No you have to manually enter them into MDE. Mine have never auto-shown within MDE from a DVC reservation.

Ours showed up automatically. Even when the wait list came through the new reservation showed up.
Glad for you. I have yet to ever get a DVC reservation to appear in MDE automatically. I have been on more than 12 reservations since MDE started.

I've had some show automatically and others not. I think my VGC almost always show which I find particularly strange.

Mine always show up and usually pretty much right away. But then it all works for me for some reason.

I have two separate logins one for MDE and one for DVC. This has worked out for me fine in the past, except for this trip I booked some ADRs with DVC member services. When I tried to add those reservation numbers to my MDE account, it said so-in-so already manages this reservation. On a whim, I tried to login to MDE with my DVC password and it worked and there were my ADRs. Sigh. Hopefully DVC can help me make them one account.
