how loud are the fireworks at the Fort?

We were planning to be back before the fireworks at the MK or Epcot start because our first greyhound was terrified of them. After last night (fireworks very close to our house; enough that it actually shakes) I realize that the problem with this greyhound is that she barks at them (and this is a dog that very rarely barks). My question now is, how loud are the fireworks at Fort Wilderness? I'm most concerned about Illuminations because that's at 9; I know we'll be back before Wishes at 10.

I doubt you will hear Illuminations in FW.

Also it has very few high ones and I don't really recall many loud fireworks. We could barley see them in the middle of FW when I was part of a school group that had to leave early.

Though I just checked a map and even though I know the area quite well I didn't realize Epcot is closer to some campsites than the MK is.

We have heard them (Wishes) from the cabin every night we have been there at that time.

It depends.... the loops closer to the lake hear them more; if the wind is blowing toward the Fort, they are louder and if it's humid and heavy clouds, they are not so loud. EPCOT, you can hear but they are not loud at all.

Thank you all for the information. We requested the 300 loop so I think we are close to the MK?

In the 400 loop we heard them very clearly. Enoughthat your dog will hear them. 300 is same distance.

Loud enough that she will start barking? Not really sure on that. But you will hear the "booms". I was actually surprised by how well you could hear them.

Perhaps if you leave the TV on it may help to cover it.

Yes, 300 loop is closer to MK. We stayed in the 2000 loop last year and will able to hear the fireworks every night.

She didn't bark last night until the finale; at that point the house was shaking and the neighborhood was one loud echo. I'm more concerned with Epcots fireworks as we'll be back to the trailer before Wishes starts. I just don't want her barking and bothering people. I guess we'll have to decide as we go. The first night we get there we are going to be at the site anyway.

That is good. You will be able to see the first night how she does. I still think the television will give you ample "cover" noise.
