12 Hollywood Studios Rumors (A Disney Rumors video is on pg. 1) and (an update is on pg. 16)

I hope so - I have just come back from Paris and whilst their Studios is better than the current Hollywood Studios it is still a bit "cheap" feeling.

They could make the Florida Studios a really great park - for example keep the Sunset Blv as is then add immersive lands based on Star Wars, Cars and Toy Story plus maybe a land based on Disney Animation in general (One Man's Dream and perhaps attractions along the lines of Paris's Cinemagique and Animagique)
You have the basic idea of what's going to happen. You'll have Hollywood Boulevard, Sunset Boulevard, a Pixar Place, and Star Wars Land. That's a pretty strong lineup. Some other attractions may survive too, we don't know the extent of what they're doing.

Hopefully it is known as Lucas Land because I'm a big Indy fan. He deserves some respect.

That series does need a reboot with Chris Pratt though. I don't want to see another film with senior citizen Harrison Ford. He looks like he should be doing Lifeline commercials. "I've fallen and I can't reach my hat."

Star Trek has shown that reboots can be entertaining and are necessary when a film series is 20 years or older.

If they consider moving the entrance to DHS so that they have access to more land on the south end of the park, there is huge potential for expansion of the current footprint, in addition to all of the blank space in the current park that they are creating with attraction closures. However, I am beginning to get cynical over Disney's current direction. Walt was all about his attractions and movies being for the people, and the current approach seems to be to squeeze every nickel out of every person and to charge more at every step of the process.

They really need someone in charge with a vision for the parks other than a dollar sign. Until then, we really aren't going to see much of anything that we are looking for. Sad, but the past 10 years makes it pretty obvious.

The entrance won't change but the parking and way cars come into the park will very likely change.

The current entrance is likely to become a bus only entrance and a vehicle entrance will come from a different way.

Maybe, but there are currently two entrances. If they move the one from the south (which I thought was the main one, but maybe it isn't), it gives them more space for facilities. The one at the north (which I thought was going to be the bus only entrance) gives them all kinds of traffic headaches with cars backing up from the parking fee gate blocking the buses, so making that one buses only makes great sense.

Based on what I've heard the current vehicle entrance will become bus only and a new one will be reconfigured for cars.

I've been reading that the road on the left of Hollywood is going be demolished for the new expansion. Which is a really good thing because there's plenty of unused land on the other side of the road. Those trees need to be killed for our future enjoyment.

Yeah, they probably will demolish World Drive.

Awesome blossom, I can't wait to see what they do.

Why don't they build more parking decks? This way they can use the extra land for something else, like more space at Hollywood.

Parking garages are supposed to be part of the plan.

They could always make the parking garages cooler looking as well. Picture a giant deathstar parking lot with stormtroopers in the guard shacks.

Very interesting! I can remember the old days of HS (it will always be MGM to me!) and I think the park deserves more attention. But I do hope they maintain the integrity of its atmosphere: Golden Age Hollywood, ToT, etc. Lucas Land would be welcomed with open arms! But I'll always cherish the little things: waiting queue at Muppets Vision, Singing in the Rain umbrella lamppost, One Man's Dream. Keep the spirit of MGM alive!

It would probably be more cost-effective to shut the park down entirely for this extreme makeover. I can barely justify the price of admission right now with everything open, so I can't imagine doing so with only a small fraction of the park still operational while being surrounded by construction walls.

Didn't stop them at DCA. Though even before the renovation, DCA had more rides than DHS. They'll do things is stages, adding things they can promote throughout the entire renovation. At DCA, TSMM opened...new Paradise Pier facade...Little Mermaid...World of Color...new Hollywood facade...and, finally, Cars Land, all over a period of 5 years.

Disney knows that people will still come to the parks. They'll just look at it as a half day park for a couple of years. ***** all we want, Hollywood still has a few great must do attractions to hold us over.

As long as they promise to build more attractions we'll keep the pitchforks stashed away.
