I was wondering if anyone knows what time the light-up happens this time of year? Is it on the schedule you receive when you enter the park? Thanks!

It's not on the schedules and CMs often won't know or won't commit. It's a few minutes before sunset. Look up the predicted sunset time for the day and find a spot 20-30 minutes before that time.

It happens at a set time in relation to official sunset each night, so it changes every night as official sunset time changes every day. I had the Lighting Designer tell me but for the life of me can't remember what it is and no cast members seem to know the magic formula.

I wanna say it was like 15 or 20 min after official sunset time while it is still dusk but don't hold me to that.

Best place to watch is smack dab in the middle of Cars land in the middle of the street. The sequence starts down at the entrance of Cars Land and lights up shop by shop and makes it way down to RSR.

Google the sunset time for the date in question. Then aim to be on Route 66 in CL at least 5-10 minutes before that time. We usually are there 15-20 minutes ahead so we can grab something at the Cozy Cones, then find a nice spot to sit.

It pretty much happens at the published sunset time, give or take five minutes.
