We'll be sailing next year for the first time :D I was wondering if this organizer might work on the hooks in the bathroom? It has two fabric loops at the top instead of the holes.

Myself I think its NO as normally organisers are banned and any damage you get charged for but its a marginal decision on this one.

Thank you, but bummer :/ I have seen pictures of a set of three hooks in the bathroom and was thinking it would just hang by the loops on the hooks. I definitely don't want to damage anything!!!!

We got a hanging closet organizer from walmart (velcro at the top, then had "cubes" under it) and hung it in our closet for more space. That worked fine as the velcro wrapped around the closet rod. There haven't been enough hangers in there to hang everything up, and this let us put shorts and such away.

This is my view on this one, I would say its a no, but let others chime in, normally all organizers are a no, and they can damage surfaces so I err that way, but its not clear.

Organizers are most definitely not banned on DCL. You just can't use the metal hooks that some of them have to hang them over the doors or they may damage the paint. We just used ours 3 weeks ago and used pipe cleaners to attach it to a hanger, and then hung it on the hook outside of the bathroom door. Easy access to grab your toiletries and head into either bathroom. They are great for keeping the room more organized and less cluttered.

I modified my over-the-door shoe organizer by using a piece of ribbon tied through the holes on each end and then added a dowel (to keep it open flat) by using plastic zip ties around the dowel through all three holes. I used it my last cruise in 2013 by hanging by the ribbon on the hooks on the wall in the stateroom. It wasn't a problem.

Organizers are fine as long as you attach them to a hanger or something like that. Just no metal hooks "over" the door. The metal hooks where what were causing the paint damage, not the actual organizer.

Yes, you should be able to use it. Not sure of the width of the hooks, though. Maybe bring some ribbon or string for just in case.

Just do not use anything that hooks over the door. These things cause damage to the doors.

Exactly.

The only organizers banned are the ones that hook over the top of the door. Those are the ones that were doing damage.

We've ultimately found that the rooms themselves have a TON of room for stuff, and I have never needed to unpack an organizer at all. But there are just 3 of us and I'm the only female, so that probably makes a difference.
