different treatment at different CL's?

I have been doing a lot of research about Disney Club Levels as we have our first CL stay come up...

And I cant help but wonder...
do you think CL guests get treated different/better at let's say GF RPC than AKL? (think most exclusive to least expensive) or CR Tower CL to WL CL...

I am thinking things along the line with GF RPC trying harder for their guests to get hard to get reservations... or CR Tower CL being more inclined to leave a surprise in the room for the guest... or in general one of the more expensive CL being more responsive and making things happen than others?

Or is it really ALL up to the specific CM?

Just wondered about this and thought I would ask my trusted DIS people...cause if anyone has opinions on this.... it will be you guys :)

We've stayed at quite a few different resorts CL and no, I don't think that you get better service based on the price of the room. In fact, the best IPO service I have received has been from AKL. On several trips, when we did split-stays between 2-3 CL resorts, I let them handle all my dining because they were more responsive than the other IPO offices. I do think that it comes down to the CM you are working with... I bet other people will chime in and praise other IPO's CMs. Also, IPO is shared by several resorts (so whether you stay at BC/YC or BWI you are working with the same office). At least in my experience, staying at the GF does not get you "better" dining ADRs.

The best I was treated was YC CL.. I checked in and was given the VP suite..(see link in my signature)

While I think GF is very special, I have had awesome surprises at all my CL stays

In the lounge? I'll still stand by what I said. ;) There are great CMs and just ok CMs from my experience. We've stayed at YC, BC, GF (RPC & SL), Poly and AKL and I don't think that the service is "better" at the more expensive ones. The food and drink that they serve is different, however. But I still don't think it goes with the price (For example, AKL has had an amazing espresso/latte machine for years, while on our last trip to Poly and YC they still had yucky pre-made coffee in the lounges). I also didn't notice a difference in them being able to get reservations for us. Again, just my experience.

No, I don't believe that you get any better attention based upon staying in more expensive CL's. It seems to primarily depend upon the individual CM's. Now those CM's seem to be pretty fantastic and I do think that they try hard to look after their guests, But that is true at AKL just as much as at GF RPC.

We have had some very nice CM's at all the CL's that we have stayed. A few stand out in particular - especially at the BWI and the CR!

Now, the venue at GF RPC is truly spectacular, though. Love sipping on a glass of wine listening to the music drift up from below...........ahhhhh!

We were CL at CR in May/June and weren't really all that impressed with it. Definitely not for the increase in pricing IMO unless you think you can get your $ worth from the beer/wine.

I will say that in our experience the absolute best service we've had has always been at CR. Now we've only stayed at GF, POFQ and Pop Music before so it's not like I have a whole bunch of resorts to compare to BUT each time we stay somewhere else we always say "coulda, shoulda, woulda" done CR. There's only been one exception to this rule for us and that was my "quick return" in June but that's another long story.

I was more referring to the CM at the actual CL while at the resort :)

I find at the various Club levels I have stayed at it was the CM that made it better. Most of them go out of their way to sprinkle some pixie dust on your trip. I fin the CM at thev Innkeepers at the BWI to be very special and always ask about my grandson & want to see pictures of him. They are family to me and made me feel at home. The CM at the WL club are the same way.
I am not a fan of the Poly Club level CM but then again just my view. They did a good job but that was the extend of it. EX I feel getting off DME and twisted my ankle. The bell hop help me off or rather help me get up and help me to a chair. Every thing was okay but since we were staying club level the lady came over to take us to the lounge. She also called the EMT to check my ankle out. Just a sprain but was told to keep off it for a few hours with ice. The Poly manager came and told the CM to check up on me every once & in awhile to make sure I was okay. Never saw them or a phone call. Even when I check out nothing was asked. Though when I went through the front lobby the manager came over to ask me if I was okay. I told him yes thank you but told him the CM never called or asked when they saw me in the lounge. It just a small things I guess. I was happy I only stayed three nights there.

But really it is the CM that make the club levels great. Not the resort level. Just my view :)

We have stayed GF RPC, GF SL, & WL CL and we didn't get treated any differently at GF RPC than we did at WL CL. I found the CL CMs at WL CL to be just as friendly and accommodating as those in RPC.

Stayed at BWI/YC/BC/GF RPC/WL - I'm sorry to say that although I loved the ambiance of the GF RPC I was not over impressed with the IPO or CL CMs. I've always had great experiences with the Epcot resort IPO, they've always managed to get what I have requested in terms of ADRs (including ADRs requested once the 180 +10 days have passed), gifts in room, etc., etc., same with the WL CL IPO, they really were great. The GF RPC aside, I've always been treated extremely well by the CL CMs at all the resorts I've stayed at. I'm trying AKL CL this November and the IPO experience has been, for want of a better word 'amazing', they've understood what I'm looking for from my upcoming trip and I feel very comfortable.

I agree with the comments about CL CMs can make a stay, as they equally break it lol, I've had good and not so good CMs at all CL stays but generally the good CMs have outshone the not so good CMs.

We've stayed CL at BC, AKL & GF RPC. All CMs were fantastic. But BC CMs stand out, maybe because of our room location? we passed desk every time we went out. They always went out of their way to speak with my daughter (in 20's) asking her plans that day as we were on the way out, then when we returned they remembered where she was going and would ask if she enjoyed .... They also noticed she had a fondness for the taffy always in a bowl on the desk. Our last day at check out they gave her a big bag of taffy for the plane ride home!

We really never use IPO for ADRs, preferring to do them ourselves. Our last CL stay at RPC (GF) we were doing a split stay, after CL we were switching to a regular GF room (2week stay) and had a prob with our next room assignment. Front desk CM was giving me a hard time so I sent a text to IPO and they had everything sorted out in 2 secs!

Last year they started IPO texting for getting the 4th FP, but for whatever reason we didn't try it.

I think it will vary from person to person and it really doesnt matter what resort it is. We have stayed CL at YC, BC, GF RPC, POLY. I dont think we were treated any better at GF then we were at Yc. BC was definitely the least impressive for us as far as service and friendliness. But the lounge is very nice and food options were good. It really depends on too many things to say but still I'd say it all depends on who you interact with. Not the resort itself.

I have stayed CL at AKL, BC, and GF. I can say that in everylounge I felt that the service was outstanding, and that while each lounge had it's own "vibe" each was a wonderful experience. AKL loung seems to be roomier to me, and BC was kind of tight. The GF lounge was large enough, but had a lot of people in and out at breakfast time.

I honestly do not believe that you will be unhappy at any of the CL resorts.

We've stayed at nearly all the Club Levels. Our least favorite was BWI -- all but one of the CMs seemed to have a "what now?" attitude whenever we asked for something. Probably our best service has been at Yacht Club. AKL was excellent as well. WL and BC were very good. At GFRPC we found the concierges to be really excellent -- one took our son's Mickey watch to her jeweler to have the band repaired! However, the CMs serving the food have very much an attitude that their job is to protect the food from being eaten by the guests! They stand and stare disapprovingly and guardedly, start cleaning up twenty minutes before the appointed time ends and, everything is truly gone on the dot. It made us uncomfortable each of the three times we stayed there. We also had an unhappy housekeeper in the GFRPC lounge who insisted on vacuuming right around our feet as we sat at a table eating and chatting.

We've stayed at AKL CL and both GF sugarloaf and RPC CL. Both were special and provided pixie dust in the form of souvenirs, flowers, chocolates or anniversary champagne. The food at CL has gone downhill since our first stay at GF Sugarloaf in 2000, but it is still pretty good overall. However, I would say AKL club level food is not as good---the snacks are a lot if chips and hummus during the day---as GF in Sugarloaf or RPC and the CMs at the GF everywhere in the property did more to go the extra mile for us, including comping one of my parents' breakfasts because they overslept and missed breakfast in the lounge and CMs literally running to our room in the rain to deliver our Cirque du Soleil tickets. I am a huge GF fan because of their consistent efforts to make everything magical.

My opinion only:
BWI has the best CL CMs.
GF RPR has good CMs too but they tend to hover. Sugar loaf CL CM had the worst.
CR had 1 good CM but he retired. For some reason, there were stuffy guests here but did not at any other CL.
YC CL was just ok.
