Favorite Foods/Places to eat

I am one to seek quiet, away from the bustle of touring....so whitewater snacks is a great place to rest and allows for a restful exit back into the fray

Pacific Wharf Cafe in DCA has awesome soups and salads in bread bowls. We ate there twice on our trip last weekend.

Carnation Cafe in DL is really good, too.

hmmmm Two words---Dole Whip!

Also:
Jolly Holiday - tomato soup and grilled cheese combo
- mickey macaron-- I have liked all the flavours so far
Carnation Cafe- deep fried pickles and a milkshake
Paradise Garden Grill - all the skewers I have tried were good (special nod to the brownie one!)

Creme Brule--I have had it at Blue Bayou, Goofy's kitchen and Jolly holiday---yum!

Trader Sam's ---anything with rum in it !!!

I think I'll definitely have to try something other than the Matterhorn macaroon at Jolly Holiday this time. I love tomato soup.

Where is whitewater snacks located? And what's good there?

We're pretty boring eaters. We had the cheeseburger and I also tried the bbq chicken sandwich. Both were very good I thought. Their fries have a seasoning salt of some sort on them that we quite liked. If you don't want fries they also offer fresh fruit instead. I also had the fried pickles. Yum!! The service there was excellent, as well.

Whitewater Snacks is inside the Grand Californian Hotel. You can easily get to WS through the entrance to the GCH by Grizzly Rapids (the ride's exit). Very easy to find.

The nachos are good (steak, chicken or steak and chicken), the individual size pizza comes with a salad which is a perfect size meal for some in my family. The kids have had the chicken nuggets and enjoyed them too. Hubby has had the burgers and enjoyed them.

Paradise Garden Grill at DCA - delicious gyro!
The lobster roll at... can't remember the name..... the little place across from HM at DL - yummy with big pieces of lobster.

Funny story - I had read on here all about the lobster nachos and got my DH all excited to try them! So we went over to Whitewater snacks, looked at the nachos and lo and behold, no lobster nachos :( Later that night I hopped on Disboards and realized it was at the Cove, not WWS :( Too much time reading the Dis, I got my nacho places confused!! (But the chicken nachos at WWS were delicious, too!)

DCA--Cocina Cucamonga, Flo's (for ambiance only), Pacific Wharf Cafe

Disneyland--Rancho Del Zocalo, Tomorrowland Terrace, Pizza Port, Hungry Bear, French Market

We typically go counter service as it's too hard to keep reservations with kids, but I love Blue Bayou when it's just adults going.
