Thanks! I must confess, my sister took the pictures. She remembered her camera haha. We really loved it! There was so much room. And the 2 bathrooms were so nice.

They are the biggest studios. They are very nice. Being so close to TTC is one of the main reasons we love that longhouse. It's the best! It was a bit sad though, we usually do a waterview but this time decided we standard view would be fine. We are so used to being on the water side every time we left the room we turned the wrong way! Jeff thought we were ridiculous.

Thank you! She is pretty cute The rooms were fantastic! We loved them. The Poly is our favorite resort. Hopefully you can get back sometime!

Thanks! I think she's the cutest flower girl ever I'm going to try to get a few more updates done soon. And who doesn't love that plastic cheese! It's the best! Although I saw today on the DisneyFoodBlog that it's being taken away

An Afternoon of rain!

At this point it was starting to rain. We decided to head across to Tomorrowland and hit a few of the more indoor rides. We waited for it to let up a little bit and went across to Monster’s Inc Laugh Floor. We hadn’t done this one in a while and Jeff had never been. It was actually pretty good! We all enjoyed it, and got in line at the right time as we were inside and it was raining a little bit harder. By the time we were done, it had stopped raining so we headed to wait in line a Buzz. We love this ride even though it desperately needs a new paint job, and some new guns. We always ride solo on this one

Then we were off to blast off into outer space! We had fastpasses so we scanned our bands and got in line. Well sadly, while we were in line the ride shut down! They had to evac the ride and the lines. Luckily as we were leaving we were handed these babies!

We also found out that since the ride went down and we had a fastpass for it, MDE had given us basically the same thing as the paper fastpass that was good until the park closed for the same rides! Score! We had 2 free fastpasses!

We started to head towards Splash Mountain to use our next fastpass, but it was quickly getting dark and cooling down. We all decided it would be best to just head back to the room for a bit. We made it almost to the Emporium before it started to pour down rain! We ran for the monorail! We chose the resort monorail and decided to spend a bit of time in the Great Ceremonial House until it let up a bit.

We looked around the shops a bit and relaxed in the lobby. Since we have been coming to this resort since our very first trip, we of course were sad to see the waterfall go. But I think we all agree that they did a great job with the new lobby. I think Maui the tikiman is super cute! It’s not quite the same but there is a lot more seating now! I remember when I was little waiting for my parents to check in and hardly being able to find somewhere to sit. Now there is a lot of seating. And with the rain, a lot of people were hanging out in the seats. They were pretty comfortable. While we sat, we decided to have a little snack! We spotted a small table with 4 chairs and decided to grab it while Mary and I went out to grab our snack!

Yup, still raining! The line for dole whips was not very long which was nice, I don’t think we ever saw the line very long. Definitely a good stop for Dole Whips.

My dad chose the dole whip float with vanilla/pineapple swirl. We have come to really enjoy this combination for the float! For me, it breaks up the flavor of the pineapple. The constant pineapple flavor of the whole thing for me is a bit much, but you add that vanilla and it’s perfect! This girl doing this one needed a little more practice with the soft serve though!

Jeff wasn’t sure what to get because this is only his second trip with us, so he just told me to pick for him. I got him a vanilla-pineapple swirl in a cup. He thought it was very yummy.

Mary and I decided to just share a vanilla-pineapple swirl as well. We knew we would be having a delicious dinner in a little while so we thought sharing would be best. We also thought we would get another dole whip later in the trip but sadly that never happened. We opted for a different snack that will has become a running joke with us since our Disneyland trip, that will make its appearance later

The rain let up just enough for us to head back to the room to rest up a bit. Jeff and I both took naps while my dad and sister just hung out a bit. We didn’t nap too long though, we had plans at ohhhh a little before 4!

It's nice to hear something positive about the new Poly lobby from someone with an emotional attachment to the resort - too many people on the internet seem to be firmly in the camp of NO CHANGE, CHANGE BAD :confused3

Yeah the rain was crazy! Luckily we made it almost all the way to the monorail. The unfortunate part was I was in flip flops which made it very difficult to run! :rotfl:

I did love the old lobby but I have my memories and pictures of it. I'm definitely not one of those CHANGE BAD people haha.

Dole whips are so good! I'm so glad I decided to try the vanilla-pineapple swirl a few years ago. Made them even better for me!! The pineapple lanai is a great place to get them!

Jumping in late here, but can I just say that seeing the Dole Whips just literally made my stomach growl! The vanilla/pineapple swirl is my favorite by far, just the right amount of creaminess. The Pineapple Lanai is the only place we haven't had to wait for a float!

Oh I could totally got for a Dole Whip right now! I'm actually wearing my "I run for Dole Whips" shirt right now! I agree the swirl is by far my favorite. Here's a picture of me in my shirt with a float from a few trips ago, it's one of my favorite shirts

I tried really hard to get another update posted before our trip but I was unable to finish it, it's almost done so when I get back from our trip I will be able to post it! Maybe I'll have more ready too, I mean what else am I supposed to do on the plane my dad, sister, and I are headed to Italy and Switzerland on an ABD trip! We're very excited! One last trip just the three of us before I get married, although I will miss DF a lot! Sorry for the delay!

We will be gone 10 days. We come back July 5th. I type my posts on google docs so I can still access it without internet so who knows I might have everything typed up! Haha!

I am too excited to wait to post this! I am still gone for a couple more days but we got our invitations!! There was a slight sna-fu in getting them. We ordered through Impressions, and even with this little mistake they were FANTASTIC to work with! So, a little background. When ordering the invitations I decided to address them myself, I have pretty handwriting so that was a way to cut cost a bit. We decided to have them July 1st to give me enough time to address them. I knew I would be gone then but they have an option to have them sent somewhere other than the return address. I decided to have them sent to DF's work since they are open Monday-Saturday.

Throughout the process there was a lot of communication making sure hat the wording is correct and the colors were right. One of the girls was so excited they were finished and with how they looked, and was so excited for me to see them she forgot to check the shipping address and sent it to my house instead. No one would be home, and it required a signature. Wouldn't have been a big deal but DF works from like 7:30-6:30, all during prime delivery time. I emailed Impressions and told them it was he wrong address and I was gone. She apologized and told me what happened, and offered to contact FedEx to have the reroute the package. Thankfully she was able to and the next day they were with DF! He sent me a picture and they look fantastic from the picture! I can't wait to see them when I get home! He only sent me the invitation, not the envelopes so I'll take some when I get home and post them! So until then I'll leave you hanging

Can't wait to see the invitations! Glad they were able to rectify the snafu quickly and without hassle.

Definitely something to look forward to when coming home from a trip. Have safe travels home!

We got home last night, about 24 hours after having woken up. It was a long day but it was a super fun trip! I would recommend Adventure by Disney! After getting settled, I headed straight to look at the invitations! I love them! They turned out fantastic!

Here is the Dessert Welcome Party card. I love that it has the little stars at the bottom!

I am so excited to send them out! As I said before, I decided to address them myself so that is my next task!

While I was gone I got a few updates written so I'll be able to post several updates from our planning session soon! I just had to interrupt again for the invitations!
