Poly at seven months

Just wanted to post that I successfully moved my February studio reservation today to the Poly when the seven-month window opened.

I know, early February is one of the only slow times left on the Disney calendar. But I was thrilled that it all worked out.

Congrats. It may also help that they added more studios to the DCV inventory.

I just was able to book Poly a week or so AFTER the 7 month window. I figured it may never happen again & snagged that ressie quick!

I just booked jan 27-feb 1.

Beach club is wide open then too during the last two weeks of January. I was tempted to split but I usually do BWV std and want to try a different location.

I'm hoping to get a studio reservation at the Poly for the end or Feb - Early March. Fingers crossed.

Woohoo....

I also got POLY at less than 7 months. While sadly waiting for DME for a return trip to airport in June, I decided to look for what was available in December - anytime, no specific dates and there it was - 4 nights at POLY second week of December (lakeview studio). I am going to waitlist another night or 2 and if I get it great, if not, I'll be happy with the 4 nights.

Disney Vacation Development has made only one declaration at PVB: 10 bungalows and 142 studios. As of July 1, 2015, the 142 studios in the Tokelau longhouse are now available for occupancy, but DVD has not increased the number of villas that can be booked by members using points.

Although its almost impossible to verify, I have suspected that DVD knows when it will make subsequent declarations and it makes that additional inventory available to DVC members making reservations after the date of the future declaration. For example, DVD might know it will declare the 76 studios in the Pago Pago Longhouse by December 1, 2015; therefore, for DVC reservations beginning December 1, 2015, there are 218 studios available.
