Hi,
We are booked for the England/France trip starting July 16, 2015. I just discovered that they are changing the itinerary, which does not include Stonehedge. That is the main reason I am going. Does anyone know if this trip still includes Stonehedge? Any other tips? We are thinking of renting a car for a day or so. Is that the best way to travel to Disneyland Paris? Thanks so much.

Not quite sure of your thinking RE Car Hire ?

( A ) I am sure there are day tours by UK. Co who go to Stonehendge . A Car would be a challenge to Collect ... Manouver out of London,

& return to London Depot

( B ) No car required for Disneyland Paris as you take direct train From Central Paris to Disney.

There is so much to see in and around Paris other than spending time in a theme park.

MadMax does tours to Stonehenge...

I've used them out of Bath and they are excellent. However, as a thought, have you considered Avebury Stones rather than Stonehenge? You can't walk among the stones at Stonehenge ..you view them, which to me was a bit of a turn-off -but I understand the allure. Avebury you can walk, touch, and experience these beautiful, mysterious stones. The village is quite quaint as well...

There are some very strange energies at work here -two friends of ours had both of their camera batteries fully charged when we got there, after playing with a dowsing rod both cameras were dead. Another suggestion, don't pick up any small interesting rocks on the site ...you'll be destined for bad luck!

If you have time, combine with a visit to the Cotswold villages ...absolutely stunning!

*** I thought at one time they offered a tour from London ..I may be wrong. It looks like Premium Tours(I've never used) does offer a London-Stonehenge tour ..as well as some that include Avebury and the Cotswolds. If there is interest, they may offer a stop in Lacock where parts of Harry Potter were filmed -I've been and it's a beautiful village. If anyone has a free day, I highly recommend looking into tours to this region!

I'm no expert but I'm scheduled to go to Scotland in August and ABD confirmed that we would have the old itinerary as the itinerary has also chance for this trip in 2016. So there is a good chance that you will have the itinerary that still includes Stonehenge.

The 2015 itinerary should be what was listed for 2015 Doubt you will miss out on Stonehenge.

Agree - I think the 2015 itinerary should still include Stonehenge.

I used to live in Paris for a year, and while the ABD itinerary is good, there is so much still to be seen in Paris (like Musee D'Orsay, Musee Rodin, Montmartre, day trip to Giverny or Fontainbleu, etc.) that I would keep an extra day in Paris vs. going to DLP, IMHO.

Public transportation is so good in England that I would avoid renting a car ..unless you are truly confident in your ability to drive on the "right" side of the road. Beyond that, driving in London is mad. As someone mentioned ...train is the way to get to DLP. I've driven in Europe with no problem, but again -public transport is affordable and reliable so why bother renting and getting stressed over getting behind the wheel. How's your French? With a car there is a good chance you will need it.

I have rented a car and driven in France with no issue and I do not speak French.

We are booked for the trip leaving 7/27...I called AbD with the same concern. The new itinerary listed is for 2016 trips. You will be visiting Stonehenge.
