An attorney, a musician, and a genius walk into Diagon Alley...

Sorry for your (their) loss and really appreciate you taking the time to reply, despite life's hurdle. That is the same patch I'll be getting, so hoping for the same positive results.

you take your time and come back when you are ready.
i'm sorry for your loss and i know how hard it is to have loved ones leave your life.

take all the time you need.

we all will be here when you return.

I'm back! With bronchitis, but back! Now, where was I… oh, yes, June 2 it looks like… We decided to NOT get up too early today and I'm SO HAPPY we decided to stop doing that -- Davy was so much better off. We still got there early -- just didn't do early entry over at IOA. We did Gringotts single rider line again. Then, hey, what better morning snack than Florean Fortescue's ice 11350602_10205448951395888_626640471225879083_n.jpg cream!
Davy specifically wanted his picture in front of Weasleys Wizard Wheezes. I don't know if I captured it really well here in this picture, but the "Weasley" on top here who removes his top hat -- sometimes there's a rabbit underneath, sometimes not. Davy loved that. He loved this store and was looking most forward toward going to it before the trip. We got a few souvenirs here, including a "dungbomb" from Harry Potter -- which looks so much like an old-fashioned "bomb," and it sounds like it ticks and explodes, so going on a plane with it is a big no-no -- so we had it shipped. Davy also loved to stop in front of the couple of Monster Book of Monster books and talk to those!

We decided to see Disaster! Davy wanted to go again and try to get picked as the kid who go to jump into "The Rock." He got picked (we went again the next day and he was picked again! He loved this!) Secret to getting picked: stand in front of the desk and act VERY enthusiastic! He was very cute in the movie and it was great fun. We almost skipped it; glad we didn't -- it ended up being one of Davy's best memories. Jason loved Christopher Walken (as did I).

THEN, Jason, who is a musician, wanted to see the Beetlejuice show. Blah. Beetlejuice actor was good. Everything else: not good.

Other fun little gems from this day: Davy is a HUGE Rocky and Bullwinkle fan… he usually could care less about meeting characters BUT then… 11351279_10205449906139756_9076640858129081137_n.jpg

Next up: time for some WATER RIDES and then the pool!!! We hadn't hit those yet. We changed into swimsuits and hit Jurassic Park, Popeye, and Dudley Do-Right. For some reason, on Popeye, Davy decided he wanted to narrate LOUDLY during the whole ride how NOT to get wet (which, of course is impossible). "No, no, you can't get wet, unless, of course, there's a BIG WATER SPOUT COMING UP!!!" Everyone just LOVED riding with us the dozen times we rode… sigh…. :) 11390213_10205457465008723_3068686823707846369_n.jpg

We did a little pool time I believe and then did some Three Broomsticks for dinner (Davy could NOT get enough of this place!). Coming up: potty-mouthed toddler!, "ducks are charming in the pool if you like cholera," and who needs Hogwarts? My kid already does magic!

Enjoying your report. We went in May and I am having withdrawals. Your trip report is helping. :)

Nice catch up.........have never seen the Rocky/Bullwinkle characters before..........

Ice cream looks good :)

I'm from the K.C. area too!
I'm looking forward to a Universal trip in November! I'm still on the fence with which resort to choose, but I will probably make a final decision on that in a couple of weeks.
Anyway, I am enjoying hearing about your adventures and seeing your photos.
