Holiday today but I'm working. I prefer working on holidays because there are less people around to interfere with my day and I can usually get more done. It really doesn't matter though, I can pretty much work when I want and even when I don't want to work. :headache: Just the nature of the job, but it is good to be employed and on the green side of the sod still.

Happy 4th everyone. The traveling Princess made it home last night. The plane landed at 10:00 pm but waited over two hours to get to the gate. We stayed up for a while after finally getting home looking at pics. She has some good ones both above and below the water. I will post a few in the coming days.

Good to hear the PP made it home CJ.
Getting together with friends including several of the soccer families we toured the southeast with for all those years. Traditional grilling, cold bear and we are gonna do our own little fireworks show. Enjoy and be safe everyone.

Saw Iside Out with the kid. Thought it was OK but could have been better. Then lunch where she talked non stop about Indo. Been that way since she got here. Still interesting.

Now we are getting ready for the World Cup. Go USA! Rooting for Abby to get a goal and make Gator Nation proud.

I didn't get to see the game last night (was playing myself) but congrats to the US. I didn't win the pool but atleast I picked the winner.
 
Hey fellas,

I'm finally back from vacation. It got extended unexpectedly due to the passing of my father-in-law. We're doing fine. My wife is doing pretty well, all things considered. I won't go into it here, but she was much closer to her mother over the years. Anyway, she was an only child and her mother passed 3 years ago, so we are now in the process of trying to deal with the estate, which will take months. So I won't say it's great to be back from vacation, but it'll be nice to catch up with everybody here again.
 
Top O the Morning Dads and great job USA ladies on a convincing win over Japan! I am beginning to hate the week at work before going on vacation more and more with having to get so much done right before to help offset the deluge when returning. Also head out on travel related business tomorrow and get back in Thursday night to head out for cruise on Friday - not complaining 'cause there is light at the end of this tunnel.
