If you have an upcoming trip and were planning to purchase, you might want to do so soon to save a few $$'s.

Thanks for the heads up! Do you know, if we buy a 14 day package can we convert it to an annual pass package if we upgrade to annual passes our last day at the parks?

FYI

I bought the photo connect today. I forgot to do it beforehand and I tried to buy it inside the park. The annual pass, they tried to charge me $150 when online it is 89.99. Also, the three day, they tried to charge me 99.99. Crazy. So I did it over my phone (which was difficult bc the website stinks when registering for the first time) and then brought it to the store and it was all good. Paid the 89.99 for annual. I read in a post it was only like a $10 mark up in parks vs online prepaid and today that was not the case. Just thought I would share.

In park prices went up June 1st. That was announced on their Facebook page at the end of May. See this thread, specifically post 8:

Online prices are increasing July 8th, presumably to match those new in park costs (less the $10 pre-sale savings).

For the annual pass discount, it can be any type of annual pass?

As far as I am aware, yes.

To be honest, they didn't even ask to see our Universal annual pass when we picked up our Photo Connect Star Card AP that we had pre-ordered online. Not to say they WON'T ask for it, but they didn't in our case.

Man I wish I would have read this before I bought the 14 day pass. I would have just bought the annual pass and risked it. Oh well...hopefully they let us upgrade, but I assume at this point it will be for a charge.

Have you tried reaching out to them, either via email or by private message on their Facebook page? In my experience, they are very good at responding to inquiries through those sources. It might be worth asking.

I have a quick question. I read on one website, that you can recieve (2) cards just in case your party splits up. But, I didn't see it on Universal's website. Does anyone no? I think I should probably purchase this tonight instead for this weekend!

I ordered the Star Card today and was wondering if it will take up much of our time picking up the card? I don't want to waste our EE time, but would like to get it as early as possible so we don't miss getting any of our pictures.

awww crap. I really have not decided if I want the photo pass and I can't decide in the next couple of hours. :worried: How much is it going up?

UPDATE-
I just read that other thread and O.M.G! An increase of $40 for the 3-day pass?!?!?!:faint:

I am going for 2 days and I am trying to figure out if it would be worth it. I would buy the 3-day since it is cheaper than two 1-day passes.

One more question
  • 1 free 5x7 or 8x10 print in a folder
  • 1 free 4x6 print
  • $5.00 5x7 or $10.00 8x10 prints at participating Photo Connect locations
  • $2.00 4x6 prints at participating Photo Connect locations
Can I print out those free pictures at home or do I have to take the time at ride or photo connect location?

Just sitting here thinking about.... the three day pass is still cheaper than memory maker at Disney.... so.... I just bought the 3-day pass. :D I hope they hold it for me at will call until my trip in November.

Man... nothing motivates like a price increase!!

I have read that, too. They didn't offer an additional card to us when we picked up our Photo Connect AP (they just provided one in a lanyard) but to be fair, I also didn't ask for the second card.

It took maybe 15 minutes with a TM when we picked ours up. We had our pre-purchase email confirmation in hand, they got us a card in a lanyard, explained a little about how things work, and sent us on our way.

I think your biggest variable will be how many people are in front of you in line. We picked ours up mid afternoon on our arrival day, and there was only one other person in the store....so the only wait time we had was for the TM to activate a Star Card.

It is my understanding that you can either have the prints made at the park, or order them online after your trip (and shipped to you at home). Now, I haven't yet tested that theory....but that is what we were told when we were there in May.

When I purchased the photo Pass last night, under the option for the 1-day or 3- day pass, there was a box that let me choose how many cards I wanted. It looked like I could choose several cards. Maybe they will give you an extra card iF you ask?

I seriously want to thank the DISer who posted this. Somehow I missed the first post about the price increase (even though I have been on these boards fairly regularly!) . If this hadn't been posted, I most certainly would not have bought the pass. I had looked at the prices just earlier in the day and knew what they pass cost. A $40 increase would have swayed me against it.

So again....:thanks: :love1: :worship: :flower3:

Thank you so much for this post - I got the 14 day pass on Monday - and now it's $50 more! I love this site, just this week I saved this $50 on the photoconnect card and another $60 on our Cabana Bay stay with a cheap tickets code I got from another post.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who posts this type of imformation.
