I saw it in several posts earlier last month, but perhaps due to my early signs of amnesia, I can't remember of find the hotel I could use for couple of nights.

All i remember that it was not the closest thing to the parks or downtown, but it had Free parking and Free breakfast and it was just above $100 per night.

Perhaps it was a Hilton somewhere with a Lake i the name....

Can you recommend any hotel at this point that has Free parking and decent Free breakfast?

TIA.

People on the board were recently talking about Buena Vista Suites. They have free parking and free breakfast.

Yes, I saw that one too. The other one I had in mind, was supposed to have nicer pool. But since I can't recall it might as well book Buena Vista Suites...

There's plenty of properties off site that have that combination. You'll just have to do some research and narrow down where you'd like to be. Buena Vista Suites mentioned above is one...there may be some on Palm Parkway (Quality Suites comes to mind), also some on 192. I've stayed at a Quality Inn and Suites in Kissimmee that's convenient to the parks that has free breakfast/parking (nothing spectacular about the breakfast, but it was fine for me)...

Can't comment about the pool since we are not pool people and one trip it stormed all week (Tropical Storm Fay) and the other trip was at Xmas time. But from the looks of it, the pool was nothing special at all, now they are part of a larger property that looked like they had a better area and maybe you swim there, not sure.

All our trips over the last few years are as a family of 4 adults and we are just not pool people. We also stopped going to water parks since for us it's almost too much work and just tires us out for the next day.

You might be thinking about people comparing Buena Vista Suites to Caribe Royale which is her sister resort next door. It is a bit nicer in "resort atmosphere" and has a much nicer bigger pool with waterfalls and slide etc. Sometimes you can get really good rates there via Mousesavers and even their one day sales which are on Wednesdays.

You can not pool hop, so if you are looking for a nice pool look at their rates. No breakfast is included, the suites themselves are similar.

Hilton ............. for free breakfast you need to look at Hampton or Embassy Suites. They may have a nice pool but not a great pool. If you are thinking great pool that would be Hilton Bonnet Creek or Hilton Orlando and that is out of your budget and have resort plus parking fees.

Someone was recently talking about the Hilton Lake Buena Vista across from Downtown Disney. They've been running specials of $99 but add a resort fee and parking fee and no breakfast. Their pools are relaxing with padded lounges and a bar but they are just big rectangles, nothing special.

I think you've nailed it right here. This sounds just like the conversation I've been searching for. What messed me up was that "Hilton" stock in my head for whatever reason, so I couldn't find it.

:thanks:

If I remember correctly the Caribe doesn't have free breakfast but you're right, much nicer pool.

No breakfast, I said that. But with kitchenette easy enough to bring food and some specials like today's include food credits or meal coupons.

There is an Orange Lake Resort. I have heard good things about this place, but I have no idea bout the free breakfast or parking.

I believe Homewood Suites Lake Buena Vista has a full hot breakfast and free parking.

Correct the Homewood LBV has a breakfast and free parking, it shares pool and parking with Hilton Garden Inn, which does not have a free breakfast. Homewood also gives you a modified kitchen. It was not mentioned because the OP was trying to remember an earlier conversation and Homewood was not part of it. It will run on average about $130. But having the kitchen can help save on food.

Just returned from Universal and our arrival night stay at Homewood Suites Orlando provided excellent accommodation and free breakfast

There are Choice Hotels near the park with free parking and free breakfast for around $100 if you do the advance pay option. It is part of the Comfort Suites chain. I just called the hotel up this morning because I am also looking for an inexpensive place to stay. I like the convenience of grabbing a quick breakfast at the hotel.

Look out for those off site "resort" fees!!! While you might get frre parking & free breakfast the offsite hotels often sneak in an extra fee around $25 per night.

Thanks for the tip about Homewood Suites. I booked that hotel since I wanted 2 bedrooms. I found it interesting that the hotel offers complimentary dinner (and not just breakfast).
