Hello everyone. Here are my thoughts for today April 6, 2015 we are 7 months away from what seems to be the busiest DVC day of the year November 6, 2015. There has been a lot of chatter on the boards lately about 7 months and this particular date. Knowing that this weekend in November was going to be busy with November 6-Eve of F&W Half Marathon, and first Osbourne Lights show, November 7th the F&W half marathon, and November 8th is the first MVMCP of the year in addition to the end of Jersey Week, I secured a reservation at my home resort SSR during my priority window. I had gotten a reservation in 2 studios for the rest of the week at OKW. I just got off the phone to modify my SSR to OKW 2BR and low and behold I got the last one. WOW is all I can say to that. But I am sure someone's Waitlist came through after my modification for 2 studios at SSR Nov 6-9. I am sure most of us will be there during this time and to be honest with all that goes on at WDW during this time of year I am really looking forward to it.

Have a Magical Day everyone

Tomorrow is our 7 month window. I too am really looking forward to it!! We have secured a 1 bedroom at AKV. Ve my change if something is available, if not....we will have a wonderful time anyway!!

We don't usually go this early in Nov so I didn't realize that Nov 6&7 would be an issue. I am wait listed for those nights in a 2 BR lock off. My fall back plan is move that family of 6 into the GV with another family of 6 for two nights.
We are at Disney. We will make it work. Meanwhile I am checking the web site several times a day!

I have gone this week in the past but didn't realize all the things coinciding on this particular weekend this year. I have one night at Kidani booked and then the rest of the week at BWV - can't wait!

Could you tell me where you found the start date for The Osbourne Lights. We are going November 10-14 and I haven't been able to locate any info on this for this year at all. I will be taking my elderly mother , and the Osbourne Lights is kinda a big deal for this trip. Thanks for the info !

It usually starts around Thanksgiving. Dinner packages opened today and are only bookable 11/27-12/24. Those are most likely the correct dates.

Sorry.

Unless Osborne lights are unusually delayed, you can see them 11/10-11/14. They start a couple of weekends before Thanksgiving week.

Osborne Lights typically start around the second week of November. I went around November 12 in 2013 and they were on.

Touringplans says 11/6/15 is the start date. I don't know how they know that when the Disney site says schedule unavailable.:confused3

i got it from touring plans.com i guess they are using prior years info. I am not sure about prior years start date other than last year because i was there for the first one and the first MVMCP. So i am just using the info from them

I'm glad I'm there the weekend before and leaving the 3rd - yikes - sounds like craziness. But it's Disney crazy so all is good ;-)

The Osborne Lights usually start the second weekend of November, it has been that weekend.

To me, the real question is whether the Osborne Lights will continue after this year? With all of the changes coming to DHS they could go away, especially if the Streets of America are removed for new attractions.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Don't say it. They really need to stop taking away the good things. I'm still not over losing the Main Street bakery @ MK.

I know!! I had heard that last year was the final year and was so happy to find out they are happening again this year, when DS and new wife will be on their honeymoon. I don't know when I'll be back at holiday time again, but I hope the lights are still there! My family liked them more than seeing Fantasmic! :)

This is the last year for the lights at Hollywood...and since the announcement, I'm expecting huge crowds the whole month of November and December.
