Flight Prices - Sept '16

Hi all,

I'm going on my first trip to WDW in September of next year. Accommodation booked Sat 3rd to Sat 17th September 2016. I'll be travelling from Manchester.

I know most airlines don't have their flights up for those dates yet, however Thomas Cook do and at the moment they're doing £50 off flights to US destinations for trips through October '16.

With that discount the price for my dates at the moment is £545 return.

My question is does that sound like a fairly decent price, or are Virgin etc likely to be cheaper when they come up later in the year?

Many thanks in advance for any info.

Well Virgin holidays two minutes ago were quoting £956 for an economy flights for those dates! You will get it cheaper indirect probably. But I would book that price if I would fly with that airline. Then again I always choose convenience and brand over price so I'm not a good one to advise really!

Thanks for that, much appreciated. Enjoy your August trip!

That's about £100 cheaper than I paid for my BA flights last year for almost the same dates so it is definitely a good price. I've personally never flown long-haul with Thomas Cook so I can't say anything about their standard of service. Have you tried pricing everything out separately rather than going package? Just wondering because I've often been able to find hotels and stuff cheaper by doing it that way. Travel republic is a good one for that

I haven't flown long haul with Thomas Cook before either. I know that BA and Virgin likely have better in air service and amenities, but for us it just comes down to price.
We have priced it all out separately yes - our accommodation is a rented villa that we've organised already. We would only be flying with Thomas Cook, not booking a whole package with them.
Thanks for the advice on pricing!

Sounds like an ok price to me, not great but reasonable. I've paid £450 for my Virgin flight for this September, from London
