Any get the invite to the Disney Vacation Club Neighborhood Beach Bash

So does complimentary mean you get in to Typhoon Lagoon for free or do you need to buy the ticket for park entrance and then everything else is free?
You can enter Typhoon Lagoon beginning at 7 pm for free. If you enter prior to 7 pm, you would need to have valid admission to the water park.

Yes, the regular busses would get you there if you decide to arrive early. All info is on member site
I'm guessing they will, but it says transportation doesn't start until 8:30 so guess you have to find your own way there if you want to get there early.

From member site:
  • For early admission, use regular bus location to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.
  • Bus transportation will be offered between select Disney Vacation Club Resorts and Typhoon Lagoon starting at 8:00 PM—and will continue throughout the event. To take the bus, simply meet in the main lobby at one of the following Disney Vacation Club Resorts:
    • Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House
    • Disney's Polynesian Villas and Bungalows
    • The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa
    • Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort
    • The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge
    • Disney's Boardwalk Villas
    • Disney's Beach Club Villas
    • Disney's Old Key West Resort
    • Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa

I do not believe that guests without a member in the party that has their DVC card with them, will be able to get in. It is a MEMBER event after all. Personally I don't think it would be right for folks that have rented from a member to get member privileges. JMHO….

As I read the invite that I received, this is a member exclusive. But as almost always, guests of members staying on the same rez are generally allowed to attend with that member.

How did you book? Our date is July 23rd, but it said we couldn't reserve until the 8th?
Hi! We were originally planning to leave on the 23rd (when my sister's family heads over to the Arthritis conference), but I think we're going to actually stay an extra night so that we can attend this. I am so psyched! It looks like a lot of fun. Now THIS is what I call Member Magic (FREE!!)

I just have to figure out where to crash that night -- not much availability, and we have to move out of our 2BR at BLT because it's not available, so I'm trying to decide whether to blow more points on SSR, or just get a Pop room for the night.

And by the way, I don't think anybody has booked the party yet, as the first date to phone for the first party is 7/8.

I got the invitation today as well. Our stay covers 2 parties but we will most likely attend on Aug 4th. Never been to a DVC event so kinda excited but worried it may be too late at night for ds5.
I have a DS who is older, but cannot manage late nights at the parks, as he gets cranky and is mortally terrified of fireworks. (Our one attempt at the MNSSHP was a disastrous failure.) But I really, really want to go, so I think we'll head over there right at 7, and when he reaches his limit, one of us will have to take him back to the room.

Hey guys! Looks like we'll get to see you again!

We'll be there on the 23rd (since we will also be at the JA Conference). Look forward to catching up!

We always miss the fun! hahah I wish the'd extend this into September as it's still really hot then. Oh well maybe next time :)

Shucks! We're too early in July, and too late in August! Have fun those of you who can attend. At least I will get one last chance to draw a character at Animatiin Academy when I go next week!

Our friends are staying on our reservation but in another room. We used our points for both rooms. They are not renting our points. A CM at Member Services had me on hold for about 5 minutes while he checked if they could attend. When he came back on the line, he said it was fine for them to attend since it is all booked using our points.

Most likely they will have to enter with you since one person in the party Ned's to show their dvc member card

Kangaroodle, I think your situation is a good example of folks being your guests. You have reserved a room for them during your stay so you can vacation together. They would go WITH you as your guests. :sunny: Have fun!

I am thinking the same thing. Go at 7 and stay as long as possible knowing we may have to leave early. I'll take what we can get!

We also plan to get there at 7pm using the bus. We will be staying at Fort Wilderness in a cabin. The MK is open until midnight that night. Will it work to leave Typoon Lagoon by say, 11:45, on a bus to Grand Floridian. Then monorail over to MK. Then boat to the fort?

Can anyone come up with a better option?

How quickly do you think it will fill up? Is this one of those things where I need to be online at midnight the first night of booking to get a slot?
