Question about UO rooms for 5 people

Quick question... still trying to learn about "the dark side" (LOL). I'm trying to get price quotes for hotel rooms on-site at Universal. I'm searching using 2 adults and 3 kids. It's showing me choices where the description says 2 Queen Beds. Any idea why this is showing as an option? Is there a sofa or something for a 5th person to crash on? There doesn't seem to be from the photos. The rates are so much lower than the suites this could really make or break us being able to stay at deluxe versus Cabana Bay.

Thanks!!

there are 2 Q beds in the standard rooms.
pbh and hrh does have some deluxe rooms with the sofa beds.
rpr has standard 2Q and suites.
but so do the other 2 resorts.

some families rent the roll away beds for a nightly fee for the 5th person.
others bring an aero mattress to use so all have their own sleeping arrangements for the night in the room.
when i took all my boys, i would use the star service free program and request linens, blankets, pillows, etc to make a pallet on the floor for #5 kid in the room.

Okay, interesting! I assume the hotels have no problem with the air mattress route? Much nicer than Disney in that regard! It's hard when traveling with a family that passes that magic number 4 threshold. What's affordable rooms for my family of 3 is double for them because they have to get 2 rooms or book a suite.

Thanks for your help!

oh, lots of peeps do the air mattress route and it is never an issue.
you just prop the air mattress against the wall or lay it on the bed when you leave the room for the parks during the day.
housekeeping is used to this when there is 5 in a room.

the darkside onsite hotels have a set up called "star service"
in your room, there is a button (star service) on the phone.
push the button and they answer.

anything you need they take care of.
Loews has a policy to provide you free of charge for some basic things you might have forgotten to bring.
shave cream, razors, comb, toothbrush, toothpaste, toiletries in general.

need additional glasses in the rooms, they will bring it to you.
same for additional pillows or whatever you need.

We brought our air mattress and it was no problem. You just want to make sure there is room for it in the room. We've had air mattresses in both HRH deluxe queen and Portofino Bay 2 queen room and they fit fine. We actually were able to fit 2 air mattresses in the Portofino room and could have fit two in the HRH deluxe room. We are a family of 4 with 2 teens DD and DS who will not sleep in same bed. We used 2 twin air mattresses at Portofino because me and DH hate sleeping in a queen together since we are so used to a king. So we had both teens sleep on the floor on air mattresses and me and DH each took a queen.

Haha, sounds like you had a sweet deal on your Portofino trip!

I'm leaning toward RP because it's a little cheaper while still deluxe. Thanks to both of you for the help. I'm gathering the last of my numbers tonight and will present to the families on Saturday. :) Now to just get everyone to agree and commit. LOL

Blow up is perfectly fine.

Next week we settled for the deluxe 2 queen on a sweet price. We normally stay in a King suite or Portofino King suite. We sleep on a king at home so our son will take the air bed on the floor while we each get out own queen. Being tall a king bed for me is a pain also, lol.
