One-night split stay: crazy or not?

We just did this two weeks ago. Our first night at BLT and then 6 nights at BWV (wasn't available for all 7 nights). We hadn't stayed at either resort before and were excited to try them both. Arrival day was spent relaxing at BLT, dinner at the Contempt Cafe, strolling the gift shops and of course Wishes from TOTWL. The next morning we actually took our time and lingered a bit before sending our luggage to BWV. Because we purposely spent time enjoy BLT, we might have actually spent more time there anyway. Once we got to BWV, we hit the parks hard all day, every day. It's all what you make of it.

Moving is not my first choice, but now we can say we experienced BLT! Enjoy your trip. The good news is, you'll probably be back again. :)

I like doing a single day split for airline reasons and loved it. Get the deluxe dining plan and splurged on awesome character and table serve dining

I used to like half and half split stays for Deluxe Dining Plan purposes. I hated moving though once I got settled. But one night doesn't give you enough time to get settled, so I would be completely open for moving after the first night. After that though, I want to stay put.

Im doing this...Im staying one night in Poly Villa Studio lake view and then rest of the week at GFVs in a two bedroom. Then a cruise, so three places to sleep lol

Im meeting up with my mom and her friend and was originalky just doing the GFVs but, like you, decided I had the time and pioints and decided to do the Poly. Ill never use the points for a studio for my family of four since we do 2 bedrooms and I will not spend that many points for Bungalows when there are many other great places to stay.

do it. don't plan any park time the check in day. just tell yourself it if a grand floridian day!!! whenever the room is ready, it's ready.. in the mean time get to your pool of choice as soon as possible (either the courtyard pool or the beach pool) grab an umbrellas table and relacx for the day
my suggestion for dinner is the strangely un heralded Grand Floridian Cafe. so bright and cheery and the NY strip is wonderful!!! I asked for it not to be charredm anadit wasn't MR.. it was great.
you can watch the MK fireworks from th edock area of Gasparillaa grill. have fun!!!
