thoughts on HardRock Hotel over the Loews for adults w/out kids

My husband & I are in our mid40s, no kids. We haven't been to US/IOA in probably 12yrs. We will be going Dec.4-12. We have never stayed on-site before, but we plan on it this time. As much as I had rather stay at one of the Loews hotels, HardRock is showing MUCH cheaper prices per night - $180 vs $220 . . . I just can't justify that price difference over the week we will be there. We'd rather put that money towards our food. We've read that the HardRock is louder w/a younger crowd. . . do you think we will regret staying there? We plan on spending most of our time in the parks w/1-2 days at SeaWorld also. Thanks!

I'm in my 50s and really liked Hard Rock. We saw all types of groups of people staying there, it also has the shortest walk to the parks which I really appreciated.

I'm also NOT hip! LOL! I appreciated the shorter walk to US, or taking the boat to CityWalk. The RPR "feels" more like I'm on vacation, but the HR is a close second for me. I never heard music beyond the elevator areas upstairs. There's also a bunch of cool memorabilia all over. I say book the HRH and never think twice about it!

I love Hard Rock and if you could get credit for the Loews First perks program, we would stay there. I don't feel the crowd is younger there than at the other hotels.

I'm mid 40's staying at the HRH next month It's a first on site stay for us and I let the children choose the hotel. Let me tell you I was ecstatic when they chose HRH. Mid 40's is NOT old!!!!

It is owned by the Seminole Indians and operated by Loews. You cannot use any of your Loews Youfirst Perks there. Just like Cabana Bay which is owned by Universal but operated by Loews and you don't get use to any Youfirst Perks there either. Sapphire Bay will be the same.

DH and I are mid 40's and stayed at HRH this past February. I didn't notice it being loud in the hotel or on the walking paths.
