Hotel/resort suggestions for trip with multiple families (who are budget minded)?

Hello!!

We have decided to head to WDW next February and a few of our friends want to go too and make it a group trip! Should be fun..but the planning is getting interesting. ;)

In the past, when we travel Disney Cruise or to WDW we tend to "go big" on vacation.. but this time we have to keep all budgets and price points in mind. We would ideally all like to stay at the same resort if possible, and the goal is to keep it under $200 per night. Also, whether it is a condo or hotel, having a kitchen is a necessity as many of the families involved have special dietary needs (we all eat and follow a mostly Paleo diet so dining out at every meal is probably going to be a hassle and figure we can save $$ at least having breakfasts in our rooms too). Ideally I would prefer to be as close to the parks as possible -if not inside the gates then very close, that offers transportation (quick shuttle?) to the parks. And a resort with pools, and fun things for kids in the evenings when we are winding down for the day would be awesome as well.

Any suggestions of booking/finding condos /resorts that we could fit all of our needs? Budget, proximity, AND kitchens? All while staying below $200 per night? One of my friends also suggested we look at renting a big house nearby..that may be an option too but with 4 families (19 people total) that may be a bit squished lol..

Thank you for your suggestions and advice!

well you can rent more than one house.

otherwise do you have a friend that has a timeshare - RCI (a timeshare trading company) generally has some good prices on Orlando timeshares - last call and extra vacations. most timeshares have 1 and 2 bedroom - some have 3 bedrooms.

Wyndham Bonnet Creek is inside the Disney gates. It has multiple pools and resort activities. You can rent a 1, 2, 3 or 4 bedroom condo. The price varies depending upon the number of bedrooms, and the exact dates you've picked, but it seems within your ballpark. http://vacationupgrades.com/pricing.html They do have a shuttle, but there is a fee. Most people seem to have cars and drive over.

I think multiple condos in the same complex. check Parc Soleil Suites, World Quest Resort, Marriott Lakeshore Reserve, Marriott Cypress Harbour, Marriott Harbour Lake, Marriott Grande Vista, Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort, Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Sheraton Vistana.

In these type resorts you can get hotel amenities with full kitchens.

The last few times we've been to Florida we've stayed at Windsor Hills & it's perfect for bigger groups. We've stayed in this house - https://www.facebook.com/OrlandoLakefrontVilla?fref=nf which has 5 bedrooms. The biggest group we had there was 10 and it didn't feel cramped at all! You could consider getting two of the houses and split between you, it can end up being quite cost effective. We saved SO much on food staying in Villas. Eating out 3 times a day doesn't just make you bigger - it makes your wallet lighter too!

Hope you find somewhere suitable!
