Today here at 3.30pm it is 28°, tomorrow it will be 32° and forecasted next week from Tuesday it will be above 30° everyday with Friday looking at 34°

Don't forget the suncream, hats and drink lots and lots of water.

Remember to bring after sun care too as if you need a chemist the closest one is at Val d'Europe

Will update if it changes

We're arriving on Sunday, I've already exchanged the long jeans in my suitcase for shorts and sun screen mini flasks in my backpack.
Does it get cold at evening/nighttime or could I get away with wearing my shorts all day? Really doubting on adding a sweater and long trousers to the packing list just to be safe.

Yikes...we will be there starting the 6th of July. I have been watching the weather forecasts and it looks like it's getting hot and hotter!

It is impossible to know if it will be as hot the following week atm and I really hope not for you. AC in France is pretty much non existant and even when they say a hotel has it rarely is it what you find back home.

We keep our appartment cool by closing all the shutters and windows in the day time and opening the windows at night leaving the shutters closed. This creates draughts and we are able to cool down enough to sleep. Next week when it could hit the upper 30's we won't have that draught at night so we have a small fan that helps a bit

Weather update - we are on alert for 20 departments here in France including Paris and the Idf.

This is put in place when it is over 30° in the days and doesn't go below 20° at night for more than 3 days.

Remember to drink lots of water, keep in the shade as much as possible, keep head covered and sun cream on. Rest and try and do indoor activites like the shows if you are in the park at the hotest today which will be from 16.00 onwards.

Tomorrow we will be looking at 39°

Some basic recommendations
Refresh the house:
Keep windows closed until the outdoor temperature is higher than the indoor temperature.Create drafts throughout the building as soon as the outside temperature is lower.
Refresh:
Take regularly in the day showers or cool baths without drying yourself.Stay inside your home in the cooler parts and at best, into a chilled area.In the absence of refreshment, spend at least 2 or 3 hours a day in a cool place: shops, cinemas, public areas.

To drink:
Drink regularly and without waiting to be thirsty, at least 1 liter and a half to 2 liters a day, except in cases of medical indication-cons.Do not drink alcohol, which impairs the fight against heat capacity and promotes dehydration.Avoid drinks high in caffeine (coffee, tea, colas) or very sweet (soft drinks) because these liquids increase the secretion of urine. If you have difficulty swallowing liquids, take water in solid form by consuming fruits (melons, watermelons, plums, grapes, citrus) and vegetables (cucumbers, tomatoes, except in cases of diarrhea), drinking the 'gelled water.Accompany taking soft drinks a solid diet, if necessary by splitting meals, to recharge the body in minerals (bread, soups, etc.).Avoid outdoor activities requiring excessive energy expenditure (sports, gardening, DIY, etc.).

Helping relatives:
Help dependents (infants and children, elderly, disabled, people with mental disorders) in their regular offering drinks, even in the absence of demand from them.Call your neighbors regularly and / or your loved elderly and / or disabled to check on them.

I'm trying to sleep here in a hotel room in Val d'Europe right now.... and I tell you, it's been hot and the sun has been burning all day and late afternoon. We're going to DLP for the first time tomorrow.... excited! but also a little concerned since it's going to extremely hot!! Hope that the lines are shady and with fans and aircon :p

Being in the UK I'm so tempted to hop on the eurostar for a night stay. So tempting...

I wouldn't - what the the ongoing pbs at Calais and yesterdays cancellations Eurostar are pretty backed up. Tomorrow you've got the ATC strike which is for 2 days so more people will be trying to get Eurostar and the parks will be jammed from this weekend as school holidays start in France

Ok it's 13.00 and it's 36° in the shade, we are expecting 38° from 15.00 until 20.00 when it will drop a degree every hour or so but won't go below 24° all night.

Ah yes, very good point! I completely forgot about the strikes. I guess I'll pass then. I'll just enjoy the sun here instead

Its been around 35-36 degrees here and they don't think it will go lower then 26-28 tonight. They have finally got an air con unit for the a&E at hospital as the matron won't let to doors be left open

Well after the heat of yesterday - 36° in the shade at 1pm and 39° again in the shade at 4pm - and the temperature didn't go below 26° all night this morning was lovely with a breeze and 28°. We should see 34° at 4pm onwards and tomorrow it will be as hot as yesterday

Tomorrow and Saturday are going to be brutal. I'm going to, quite literally, go jump in a lake.

Ok after a horrible Friday - 39°+ in the shade and the weekend this Monday morning is cooler by a good 10° as it's 19° at 8.30.

We should have nice weather, sunny and reasonable temperatures all this week 32° being the top temperature on Sat and 23° being the lowest on Wednesday - a couple of nights will drop to 13°

We are now getting into normal seasonal temperatures, thankfully.

Did you have any thunder storms over the weekend?

Four people have been struck by lightening on Wales over the weekend and sadly two have died. :(
