DIS Unplugged Show Feedback and Suggestions

Hey Dustin! If you're ever hurting for something to talk about on the Podcast (I watch it on YouTube), consider bringing in Webmasters for the DisBoards and have them talk about what excites them with the particular board that they suppost. Years ago, I met Webmaster Doc and would love to hear how he finds DVC exciting. Also, not a candidate, I think I'd enjoy hearing from DisAbilities. Pete has all these categories on DisBoards, why not exploit (poor choice of words?) them

I believe if you Listen to achieve episodes they do touch on these things:

The team likes the fireworks cruise as far as I know and the desert parties vary as hit or miss although I'm sure Pete wasn't a fan of the illuminations party

Thanks! I actually just listened to an older episode yesterday and realized hey had done this already.
 


Perhaps when there is a last minute glitch and no show can go up someone could do a quick 1-2 minute video explaining why (simple on like an Iphone or something) and broadcast the disneyland edition or a previous favorite / highly rated episode.

If there is an issue and we can't record a show, we post something here and on social media.

If you don't see a show, you should try those outlets.
 
How about some video shot from a rental boat on the waters around the resorts and DTD? I picture some impromptu funny interviews of unsuspecting tourists or Dissers in DTD after it "reopens" asking about how folks like it. How about some video of the Wilderness Lodge bungalows as they develop from the water?
 


Can we have a show on the water parks???

I would love to see a recent show on:

typhoon lagoon
Blizzard beach

It would be nice for someone to go out and cover them and talk about the differences you always see a "VS" thread on the board every two days it would be nice if the team covered this topic

Piggy backing off of this, I would like to see more of the Free Form Friday shows.

I understand by the very essence of it being a "free form show" there is no particular regularity or schedule to it and don't expect there to be. However, the shows are entertaining and are a good listen.

just an idea... I posted it on FB...somewhere,...

is it possible if there is a show that can't be aired or if the team is on a trip... can you play an older show and still let people watching chat among ourselves about the show...it would be nice to chit chat about old topics and see how everyone feels now if the situation has changed or maybe if an attraction is changed etc. nice to see how opinions change etc.
 
For some of these poll questions, how about a "Man On The Street" type of interview in the park as well as the statistical data captured via Facebook. Just a thought. I used to love Jay Leno's JayWalking. It could be something like that. One good topic would be the recent poll about the price hikes. See how the "man on the street" feels about that. You could get some fun replies.
 
I'd like to second what was said up above regarding the water parks. I'd like to see the team discuss Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. Very little has ever been said about them in the episodes I've watched/listened to.
 
Hi! I began watching your shows this year as I started doing research for my trip. I'm visiting WDW for the first time in 2016!!! I'm very excited about it!!!

I just wanted to tell you that you are a very charming group, and that your passion for Disney is contagious. By the way, now I just can't wait to visit the Figment attraction thanks to the lovely Mrs Werling!

It would be great if you shared strategies for resort hopping after visiting the parks, specially for non-drivers.

Violence on selfie stick users is a bit over the top

Adventurers Club was awesome

I haven't read through all of the replies so this may have already been mentioned - but I think it would be fun to do a "bracket" challenge like the one that was done last year with rides but with CS and TS restaurants (separately). We could vote each week on facebook which I think is what we did before? And when discussed on the show, the team stated whether or not they agreed or disagreed with the crowd.
 
Hey there! I primarily watch via YouTube and have been a recent subscriber (since March). After reading all of the posts in this thread, I wanted to commend each member of the podcast team on a great show! I see an active desire for it to constantly grow and become better -- THAT is what you are doing right! It's that mentality and passion that is only going to make the show better and better as time goes on. I don't see anything that you are doing wrong. After all, you are at liberty to discuss, format, and produce in any direction you think will further your own carousel of progress. If I'm being honest, my impression from the others comments in the thread so far seems to be a list of content and expectations that might be best suited for the poster to implement in a podcast of their own. #JustSayin' :eeyore:

The team is awesome, the atmosphere and conversation is great, and the topics keep me engaged. I'm certain you receive plenty of topic suggestions to last you another 10+ years! I will continue to watch no matter the direction or change because I like the team and have been charmed by your personalities. We are all here and listening/viewing because of our passion and interest in Disney. No one should feel entitled to anything in particular. Keep up the great work!
 
I thin they should preview all the restaurants around wdw again. I miss the reviews and you can always redo them after a few years break. Things change, food changes etc.
