$199 four day pass

Has anyone heard if DVC will offer the $199 four day pass again? When I asked member services while making our last reservation, the cast member said he hopes they do. But that was it, no hint either way.

No one here knows what (if any) ticket promotions DVC has negotiated with the ticketing group until it's announced.

Still waiting, of course. Just wanted to share that I've reached a new level of Disney-Nerdiness. I emailed DVC member services to request that they offer this deal again.

I hope that is a canned response. The last time I spoke with DVC on the phone about a month ago, the cast member said it was a great promotion and was very popular. He said to keep checking the member perks for updates.

For ticket discounts, DVC has to request them from Walt Disney Parks & Resorts (WDPR). All shopping/dining/tour/etc discounts offered to DVC Members are extended by other Disney operating divisions.

yeah, it could be a great promotion and very popular and that really wouldn't have any impact on whether it might be offered again. like michael said, everything has to be negotiated (and typically would have to pay for itself).

The offer didn't start until September last year, so we're realistically 2+ months out to determine if this is happening again.

I thought it was great last year too and used up all 8 that we could. Funny thing was when it first came out the number of people that complained about it and not being flexable. Just goes to show it depends on which group shouts the loudest gets heard.

Out of curiousity, does anyone know why it was offered in the first place? Was there a drop in annual DVC passholders? Was it a way to encourage people to purchase DVC? Maybe if we figure out why we can foresee if it will happen again! Please, oh please??? :worship:

There's an annual pass discount available constantly; right now.

There was a Premium Annual Pass discount priced at $399, and then another one offered about 18 months later at $485. There was a ticket price increase about the same time as that last discount, so the normal annual pass was just one dollar less. That ended in, I think, February last year.

You will have to wait some more. If they are going to offer anything like that, they probably will offer it in off season, as they don't need to encourage more people to go during summer. Which means we will have to wait till late August or September to find out what kind of discount offer for us.
