Fantasmic or World of Color?

We have done neither, and have been to DL a few times, and DW twice (not done Fantasmic there either). Right now I have a dinner package booked at Blue Bayou for Fantasmic. Am wondering if I should do World of Color instead? I have almost 4 and 6 year old little girls who love villains. They are fairly short too. Since they go to bed fairly early, we only want to do one late show. Any advice on which one to picK????

I would vote for F! because you mention your girls love villains and they're short. WoC is a good show, but the viewing area is not friendly to short adults or children. The Blue Bayou dining package viewing area is entirely ground seating, so everyone has a great view. So, at this point, I would vote for F! because of the viewing area, but to be fair, I like F! better than WoC. My feeling is that with WoC, if you can't see the water surface, your missing half the show and at that point it's mostly just a mist screen show with a few effects.

I think the current WoC show would be boring for many young kids. It focuses a lot on Walt with a strange Let it Go interlude. You can hear Let it Go during PTN, Fireworks, the sing-along and inside the Animation building lobby.

Fantasmic is the better show when you compare the two.
However, in my opinion World of Color is more of California Adventures version of a fireworks show, but with water.

I love WoC but the viewing areas are not set up for smaller guests.

The Fantasmic at DL is an awesome show so you can not go wrong......it is much better than the one at WDW in my opinion. Your kids will love it!!

I've been thinking of doing one of the dinner packages for a show when we go next February as well. I've pretty much been leaning towards Fantasmic!, but I love Walt Disney, so will I be sorry if I don't do WOC?

Another vote for Fantasmic! I took my DS7 to see it for the first time a few weeks ago and he LOVED it. Out of all the evening entertainment we saw, which included F!, new PTN parade and new DL Forever fireworks, he said that F! was his absolute favorite. We did the River Belle Terrace package (food was meh, but reserved seating was great), but I have also done the Blue Bayou package and that one is really worth it in my opinion. If you have time before you go, watch Sleeping Beauty with the girls so that when they see the dragon in F! they will really be wowed by it (looks EXACTLY like the one in the movie).

None of us in my family have seen WOC but I really don't think you can go wrong with F! Have a great time!

Fantasmic all the way. I find WOC kind of boring, personally. I could watch Fantasmic over and over.

Have done both BB fantasmic and Carthay circle Woc packages in the last week. Fantasmic was awesome we were front row no problems.
Today we did Woc. From reading the boards etc I was not excited at all and they day dragged on.
I was worried my 5 yr old would be bored and hate standing.
We were all wrong. Woc is so far ahead of fantasmic it's not funny. I was blown away, my low expectations turned to amazement. Great show, and my 5 yr old loved it more than fantasmic. Either way you can't lose, Carthay circle package had great view. Get there an hour early and you will get a great spot.

I have never seen WOC.. I have made many, many attempts but things just have never aligned! I have however seen Fantasmic and I LOVE IT! I remember watching it when I was little and LOVING it as well ... so my vote is for fantasmic... but I am sure WOC is wonderful as well :)

While WOC is awesome, though it's current version isn't as good as the original, unless you get there super early and get a fence seat OR you stand in the Wet zones, your kids won't get a good view. That said Fantasmic! doesn't exactly offer your kids perfect views either. They'll still need to peek past heads and see through an iron fence. But F! will be a better show and viewing will be better than WOC. So go that way. And then when you go to WDW, see F! there and enjoy a 9000 seat arena with bleachers and a good view for everyone there. I miss that arena!

Fantasmic! is much more a mixed show-there are fire and water works, projections on mist, floats that come around that are very cool, and characters. WOC is much more of a fountain show and I think it is worth seeing, but if you only do one, make it Fantasmic!

I was actually there last week and did the dining package and it was perfect! We got there about 15 minutes before showtime and got great spots, they also provide seat cushions with your package.

Have fun!

I did both the Fantasmic Blue Bayou package and WOC Carthay Circle package last week. I think the food is better at Carthay but the Fantasmic show is much better. Not only is the viewing much better but the show itself is better.

I enjoyed the new WOC and saw the original. We also saw F! (only after finding green tickets on the ground). We showed up 5 minutes before the show started and I watched over shorter guests that stood at the bridge rail. DW is 5'2 and she looked between guests. It was only two deep on the bridge.

I prefer the WOC and DW didn't like the "darkness" of F! but it sounds like you villain loving kids will better enjoy F!. I hear RBT and BB seats are in the same area with the difference being the seat pads and cost. RBT seems like it may have better kids food choices.
