I didn't know you had a trip report. How fun. Sounds exciting and love all the bows!! I never seem to get notifications but now that I know you have one I will keep checking. Exciting!!

You're doing a great job and how fun to go to Dapper Days. I don't know if I would dress up but I think it would be so fun to see everyone else!! I was going to say before but I had to run to work, I haven't been on here in so long. I used to come over here all the time and read threads and esp trip reports but I guess I just got sad coming over here since I hadn't been in so long but now that we just got back I am already missing it. While we were there it seemed like enough time yet prob because it had been over a year and since we won't be back to DL until 17 I really felt like I didn't get my fill. I hope you have better luck with the parade and fireworks since you are going at a slower time! I tried to watch the parade twice and it is amazing but I couldn't see and I can't sit on the hard cement for hours on end. We sat at the Jolly holiday for a LONG time as it was but then had a hard time seeing. Then the only day we were able to see the fireworks my view was blocked. It too was awesome and you will love them both. The only new thing that we saw really well and was amazing was WOC. My mom broke down and bought us the Trattoria meal and so we had the preffered seating and she is disabled as well so I actually got to sit on a bench which was awesome cuz I just can't sit on the hard wood or cement for hours. I will def look forward to seeing and hearing about your trip!!!
 
I wasn't really sure about dressing up but now, I'm excited. But, I'm drawing the line on the shoes. I can't even imagine wearing heels in the parks. No how, no way!

Being there five days there should be a day that we can actually see the parade and the fireworks. I'm not really sure about WoC or Fantasmic. I'm not wanting to spring for a meal to see either. Disney is getting enough money this trip.
 
Great job on the bows! They are so pretty! We are down to 17 days before Disneyland! :cool1: Going to start packing as soon as we get back from our sailing vacation. The days will go by so fast!

Thank you! You're so close! A sailing vacation sounds wonderful to me! I haven't been sailing for years. I used to sail with my grandparents all the time.

I have just read through and am now up to speed with your trip! You guys are going to have so much fun. We were at Disneyland in 2013 for Dapper Day, and although we didn't dress up ( would have been nice but bringing stuff over from Australia was a bit of an effort! ) we had a great time checking out all the outfits. People sure did look great!

Your bows are looking good, I love the Captain Hook one.

Looking forward to the countdown!:-)

I sure hope so! I get not bringing the stuff from Australia. You have limited space and frankly I wouldn't want to waste my valuable space on dress up stuff. I normally wouldn't but, since we are driving its not an issue. I can hardly wait to people watch that day.

Ooo, Charming Charlie's is a very dangerous place for three girls! I bought my friend a crown like that at CC for her birthday "because every princess needs a crown."

Thank you, they have been so much fun to make! I'm hoping to be making at least one tomorrow. I want to make an Aurora bow and another Villain bow. I bought some black, gray and purple to use. This should be fun!

Well, we made it back from our sailing mini holiday! It was lots of fun and hot! While we were out on the lake, thanks to cell coverage :-), we found out that July 17th is 50s inspired dressing. I was on the internet trying to figure out what we were going to wear or if we should just go with our planned 60th outfits. So when we got back into town, I found a shop that sold vintage clothing! DD and I found 2 dresses that are cool and comfortable to wear all day. And DD also got a cute little purse to go along with her dress. So, now we are dressing up, kind of like Dapper Days. I told DD that we are now set for Dapper Days - if and when we can ever go! 9 more days for us and counting down!:-)

How fun! I know how much your DD wanted to do Dapper Days! I love vintage clothing! If you ever get in the position to need retro clothes again look at Pin Up Girl clothing online. They have some really cute retro clothes. I hope your going to do a trip report!

Thank you! I'm now going to try to make bow ties for my nephew who wears suits for work. He loves all my hair bows and wants in on it!

I've never been in September before and I'm really excited to see the parks during that time. Both the 60th and the fall decorations should be there. I'm curious to see how they handle it.

Before checking out Dapper Days, I was never one that would dress up too often. I am usually a jeans, t-shirt type of person while DD loves to dress up. She has the most fun on cruises where she loves formal nights! I will take a look at Pin Up Girl, thanks for the recommendation. We were lucky that we found a store that sells pin up clothing in our town. Didn't even realized it existed! LOL Anyways, since we can't make it to the actual Dapper Days, it will be fun to dress up on July 17th. The only concern right now is our shoes, we didn't want to wear heels so might just go for black flats or black semi-formal flipflop/sandals (is there such a thing?). And I would love to do a trip report when I find the time. But we are off to the Big Island 2 weeks after our DL trip and sadly, I have to get back into the office between then and earn a paycheck! LOL
 
I can't imagine doing the parks in heels. Shoes were the quandary for me too. I decided to look at Crocs. I know that they can be rather ugly but, I found some that I like. I'll post a picture later of mine and Kacy found some flip flops with sequins on them. She's doing to wear some flats on Dapper Days but Kody is wearing some silver sequins Croc flip flops. Amazon has them so we bought from them. I love Prime.
