Alli and Cole's 08/13/2015 SBP Escape w/ F! DP - Updated 09/29 Professional Photos Up!!!

Nothing major to update. So far it doesn't look like Cole's Classic Cars has sold my dream Chevy so it may still be a part of my wedding day

As a reminder...

My parents paid off our hotels for the trip so we're all set to go for that (or will be as soon as my TA processes it) with the money saved from our guests who declined I added swags of fabric to the chairs on the aisles (which was only $100 I think because there's only one swag since there's only two rows of chairs but it will add some nice color to that part of the day.
I ordered a ton of Disney bows for my hair on Etsy because I can't wear ear hats so I think I have one for almost every day of the wedding trip... Especially since they JUST opened a Hot Topic in my local mall and I bought two more Little Mermaid bows there yesterday... Along with a Little Mermaid tank and shorts and a Harry Potter tank and shorts. I have an appointment with the bank later today to apply for a U.S. Dollar credit card since that seemed like a good idea with three trips to the U.S. over the next 14 months. (Did I mention I'm 90% sure I'm going to Hawaii in February? I'm going to put money aside and buy Cole's ticket for Christmas too since he thinks he's too broke to go after the wedding but since my parents are putting us up in their timeshare for a week with them all we have to pay for is flights - we might spend two nights at Aulani too since we have some extra DVC points)
Plus I'm thinking about doing a boudoir shoot before the wedding. I'm not 100% sure yet just because of budget but I'd absolutely LOVE ago do it! With how close we are I probably wouldn't get my shots back until we were home but I think that's a good surprise to get once the high of the wedding and honeymoon trip wears off right?

One of the final things I ordered for the wedding came today... Actually it was one of the very first things I ordered. My custom hanger arrived!!!

image.jpg

It looks great!!! I can't wait to see the pictures of my dress hanging from it... Too bad I didn't order one for my second dress too, lol! I guess I'll have to make do for it. The only other thing I'm waiting for is a crapload of Disney themed hair bows I ordered since I can't really wear the ear hats and the headbands give me horrible headaches after about 20 minutes. I have a phone call set up with my planner for the 17th then my fitting later that day. Then on the 18th I have a call with Regina to go over all the details I confirmed the day before with my planner. So that should work out very well. Just 48 days until the wedding and 42 (I think! I didn't double check my math) until we're in Florida!!!

The hanger looks great! I love it... especially the coach on it. :) And 48 days.... it's going to fly by! You're getting so close!

Glad to see the car is still in play and your hanger is lovely! Under 50 days!!!

A couple weeks ago (maybe on the 15th?) Cole finally sent my ring in to be re-blacked. They sent it back this week and it looks amazing!!! So dark! I forgot how dark it was originally!!! I can't wait to finally get to wear it again (I'm saving it for after the wedding so it will stay completely black for all the pictures)

I also finally sent in the first request for the forms to get our mail away marriage license. I was nervous I'd waited too long but they won't send the second part out until 60 days before the ceremony and we're 46 days out now so hopefully it will work out perfectly.

I also emailed the ceremony Cole and I argued and fought over and finally hammered out. I was worried it would be too long or awkward but Rev Kev emIled back and said it was perfect... So that's good too!

Now I just need poor Sam to get better! (If anyone is not reading her pre-trip report despite being extremely healthy and active during her pregnancy - hey we walked 5km with her 4 days overdue! - she has developed some complications post baby. Her stitches have become infected - and she's had allergy issues with stitches in the past - and some of her tearing is not healing at all so she's now on bed rest and our amazing mommy is flying in to help her out when her hubby goes back to work on Friday. Right now she's just sore and frustrated and still figuring out how to be a mommy herself - and with my schedule I can only go over there a couple days a week and lend a hand) and I need the next 39 days to go by so I can be anxiously not sleeping waiting for our 3am trip to the airport!!!

I can't believe you're holding out so long with not wearing your engagement ring! I got mine re-polished the day before we left for FL and even not wearing it those 4 days was long enough!

So exciting that you're getting the marriage license and ceremony all squared away - but poor Sam! I hope she heals up quickly, sending pixie dust! pixiedust:

The last time I wore it was the end of May... I'm going slightly crazy. I do have two different rings that I wear in its place so that helps a little.

I just realized I never posted about the phone call I got on Friday from Disney Fine Art Photography. At about noon I got woken up by my phone ringing to find a nice lady from Disney telling me that she had "news "about my Magic Kingdom photo shoot. Instantly my heart sank I was convinced they had canceled my shoot... From the beginning my Magic Kingdom shoot seemed cursed! Thankfully she just called to tell me that Operations had decided to open Magic Kingdom at 8 AM every day all summer long and our photo shoot was being moved to an hour earlier. She kindly reminded me to call my hair and make up team to schedule them for the new start time. One quick call to Beaute Special later after realizing that my new "finished by" time was going to be for 5:30 AM... I now have a 2:45 AM start time for hair and make up. This the day after my 3:30 AM start time for our Hollywood Studios shoot... Gee I bet Cole's glad he not only agreed to marry me in Walt Disney World he agreed to in park photo shoots now!

Eeek, while I am an early riser, those times to get ready are sooo early. But, pictures are pictures, and I hope they turn out amazing. Love an empty park.

Get well wishes to Sam. I hope she recovers soon.

Fun car. And how nice to be going to Hawaii.

Less than 2 months now!

Man, I remember how early that is! But just think about the time, you'll get some stunning sunrise photos as well as some darker ones too! I can't wait to see them :D

I am all caught up on your report, you are getting closer now!

There is no where else in the world where waking up at 2:45 is not only acceptable, but even exciting! Glad you got your photo shoot.

I have a last few items that I've picked up for the wedding to show all you ladies. Cole bought his brothers gorgeous leather travel kits (only one picture because aside from their initials they're all the same)
image.jpg
OMG they smell so good!
He bought his dad a personalized wallet
image.jpg
And for my parents he bought luggage tags and passport holders (mom's is red)
image.jpg
Since Cole loved the kits for his brothers so much I bought him one too! Speaking of stuff for Cole his wedding day accessories came in recently.
image.jpg
(That's a pocket square, dress socks, and a tie from left to right)
As a last gift for my mom I got her some hand paste flip flops from FiggieShoes (if any of you ladies aren't familiar with Deborah's - Figgie's - work she is absolutely AMAZING you have to look her up!!!! I bought myself two of her pairs that walked the runway at New York Fashion Week I'll share if anyone is interested)
image.jpg
For our dessert party we're doing up signs to suggest food with each of the wines we are offering so I needed a way to display them... Enter place card holders
image.jpg
image.jpg
They're both pretty small but I just want to make up signs so that all the wines are sampled. I think they'll work out well.
Last but not least I wanted to do something nice for any Cast Members that are nice to us. I ordered 100 (I think - coulda been 200) of these
image.jpg
They are mints that say 'Thanks a Mint! Allison Cole' there was supposed to be a plus sign between our names but oh well. I'll keep a handful in my park bag all the time to pass out as needed.

Meanwhile I'm freaking out about the one real item that hasn't arrived yet... MY VEIL!!! I ordered it in the middle of February and it was supposed to arrive in about 6-8 weeks. When I hadn't heard anything I asked at my fitting at the end of May and they assured me it would be in by the end of June at the latest... When I still hadn't heard anything I called the shop today. They told me it still wasn't in... Ummm I leave in 4.5 weeks. I was again assured it would be in 'soon - in the next couple of weeks' Nervous about the possibility of not having it in time I asked what would happen if it didn't arrive 'oh well we've never had that happen' ummm that's great for you previous brides but that isn't very reassuring to me!!! I wasn't really set on a veil so I won't be too upset if I doesn't come in except for the fact that I paid almost $200 for this thing! All I wanted from them was an assurance that they'd refund my money if it didn't arrive in time but apparently that was asking for too much. I have 3 appointments between now and when I leave (my last fitting plus both of Sam's) so I will be hounding them about it in person from now on.

Speaking of Sam she's feeling a bit better. Our mom flew in today to help with the baby as Sam is 100% not allowed to sit or stand while holding the baby (which makes feeding complicated) and her hubby is headed back to work tonight. She's on the mend though she's going to need some reconstructive surgery once she's healed and infection free.

So that's what's going on here. What did you ladies who are already married do to get through the last month before the wedding?

Eeeeep hope your veil works out! Fingers crossed and pixie dust. I love how bold all of Cole's accessories are! So bright and fun and perfect!

Ah the last month before the wedding, let's see....there was my bachelorette party (surprise!), then Kevin went away for his party and I started to pack, then we celebrated our dating anniversary, then I got the virus from Hades and couldn't get out of bed, and then we left for Florida! I recommend all but the last one :D

I will do my best to skip that last one. We have our three year dating anniversary in 10 days and will visit the Calgary Stampede for a day or two. I think I'll mostly be busy with work and Aunt duty so I should be able to entertain myself until we leave. I'm still worried about the veil though!

I've been following along and so much of what you are planning sounds like what I want to do (if we can get it to work out to get married in Disney!). SBP, Fantasmic DP with some savory in there too, ride mix-in. How do they schedule the ride mix-in? I see that your wedding night they have 2 showings of Fantasmic. I'm guessing you are doing the early show, with the mix-in afterward? Ours would be in October, on a night when Fantasmic is likely a single showing at 7:30pm. Ride mix-in is not a deal breaker, but I'd love to check if TSMM could be an option. Not sure if that would work with the park closing at 7pm though. Any ride for that matter.

So exciting, I can't wait to see how everything turns out!

Right now (from memory I'll have to double check my BEO) we're being escorted in at 8:30 to ToT to be there at 8:45 then heading to Fantasmic! but I'll have verify that on my next break... Which would I guess have us heading to the second showing.

ETA Just double checked the times I posted are correct but I looked at the show times for HS that day and Fantasmic! is scheduled for 9pm and 10:30pm so we're going to the first show and I have no idea who our mix-in works... Just something else to question my planner about

Awesome, thanks for checking on that for me! Are you being transported backstage, or escorted from the front gates? Sorry for all the questions!
