Anyone flown with Delta

No going indirect out through Boston back through Atlanta then a Virgin flight home.

Better than Virgin, IMO.
We flew via Boston a couple of years ago with Delta, no problems. Would use them again if they were cheapest.

We flew via Boston in 2013 and we thought they were better than Virgin Economy but we did book their Economy Comfort Seats and had the front row which was great as loads of leg room. It was really cheap to upgrade to this, cant remember exactly but well worth it. The entertainment was much better than what we had experienced on all our flights on Virgin but I know Virgin have upgraded inflight system so might be better now (hope so as we fly Virgin in August)
Boston is not a great airport though. Unfortunately we got delayed 2 hours so were there for 4 hours and not much to see. We flew American last year and stopped in Miami which was great.
Food wasn't great on Delta but thats the norm really. We usually get something at Heathrow to take with us.
Hope this helps.

They're as bad as one another.

Unless you fly in F or J, don't expect any difference between airlines.
If you're flying W (PE, Comfort+) then it's still as bad as one another
if your flying Y (economy) then it's cattle class, no matter which company you consider.

Didn't fly to Orlando but to NYC with Delta and I they were much better then Virgin, although it was 5 yrs ago but there IFE was way more advance then VA, the food and staff were also better imo

What does Virgin's do that's so impressive? Personal on demand IFE is industry wide on transatlantic these days. I flew Delta for the first time 10 years ago and they had it then (and that was on a domestic flight in the US!)

I don't know Kath I only fly Virgin so I asked the question. I don't see such good IFE generally advertised on other flights?

Virgin's IFE is no better than any other airline's - but you are correct, they do make a big deal about it. Other airlines seem to advertise less anyway.

Thanks everyone I know that there pretty much all the same had a great response from Deltas Special assistance dept so looking hopeful that there going to be ok

Our only complaint was on behalf of the kids, who had such awful food that I could't tell you what it was. Vegetable, animal, mineral??? and the Kids entertainment was on a one hour loop, same programmes there and back. The seats were comfy and there was plenty leg room but just because the kids had such a grim time, I wouldn't use them again

We flew indirect with them a couple of years ago and found them better than Virgin. Staff were excellent, very attentive x
