Had a great week, never cooked a meal, slept in, averaged about 6 hours a day in the parks with the help of my ecv. Golf cart was invaluable in seeing all of the Fort. I had a Corona for everyone here in the forum. Just one. Meds won't let me let loose anymore.
Pics were from phone and I have tremors, I hope they are ok.

Now planning next trip in the pup....more my style now.

Those pics look fantastic! I really like that tent setup you got there, especially with the AC access. We are always appreciative of those who give us our little glimpses into how the Fort is looking while we are away.

I always thought the 300 loop, with the canal behind the sites, gave kids a good open area to play while also being able to stay close to the campsite. How was the wildlife while you were there? Any squirrels hit you up for some full meals?

How was the bug situation? Some recent posters have made comments about the blood suckers being really bad.

Wow!!! You have the "big cooler older brother" to my tent. Did you build that little shaded part onto your tent or did it come with it?

Here is my tent that I am now thinking is too small....tent envy over here

How did you get by without cooking any meals? Did you bring a personal chef? ;)$_1.JPG

First to sum up the bugs.....almost a month since our return and i am just starting to clear up. Wore lots of bug spray, to no avail. Mostly doggone deer flies. That's what we call me here anyway. As we were pulling out of our site to return home, cm's were trolling by in the canal fogging the bank.
We didn't see any squirrels in our site. The only ones we saw were by the garbage bins, with little tiny signs that said, "eat mor chpz"

Hey there!
The tent is actually built in an L shape. The rainfly makes the awning cover for the open area.
You shouldn't have tent envy. I would prefer not to have to have the extra space and weight but, it does allow for cots and an extra storage area. I think we will probably alternate between this tent and our pop up.
I normally cook for the family at home, so I decided to let Disney cook for a week. Lots of good food between the Fort, the parks and the other resorts. Half the fun is trying to find the perfect meal at the lowest cost.

Thanks for the pics. You definitely win top 3 best tent award!

Was going to say the BIG tent looks awesome. I might consider sleeping in a tent. At least once. I was going to ask about the bugs since you were close to the canal but you answered that as well.

Pics look wonderful.

Great campsite. I didn't know tents came with the A/C hole, complete with it's own little awning. Pretty neat.

i think i could tent camp in your setup! Awesome! :)

Awesome! What is the name and brand on that tent? Certainly something that might be an option for my family of 5 for camping.... :)

The tent is sold at Amazon for $369.00

The Ozark Trail 12 Person Instant Cabin Tent sets up in under two minutes! This 12-person tent requires no assembly because the poles are pre-attached to the tent; just unfold and extend. This three-room, cabin-style tent has large windows on all sides and room to stand up. It features a large front awning for relaxing under the shade. In addition, it comfortably fits three queen airbeds or up to 12 campers in sleeping bags on the floor. Two internal room dividers allow you to create separate sleeping and living spaces. Keep cool with the oversized ground vent that also fits an air conditioner.

Ozark trail 12 person cabin tent. Got it online from Walmart for $169. Came with 2 queen air mats as a bonus offer.
Pretty easy to set up but, the 2 minute time frame doesn't include staking I'm sure. Each room inside is about 8x8.

ThanksI Iris! You and your babies can camp with us anytime. Our furbaby has cancer and her camping days are well passed.

Thanks Teamubr!
I was sooooo happy to have the AC !!! Made all the difference for us with the humidity. It had enough opening to let the air return breathe and we didn't have any condensation inside.

Oh, yes! Camping has so changed over the years. I normally prefer our pop up but, this tent is the next best thing.
I like it because I can fit a large cot, stand up to change clothes and have room for a chair and a stackable shelf for clothing and TV.
