Book flights separately? Help please!

My oldest DD (19) has decided her and two friends want to do Disney the first week of November (8-14) during a quieter class time at University.

(setting my insane jealousy aside)

I've told her to head to CAA to book the trip - they plan to stay at Pop (and free dining is still available) and have hoppers and Memory Maker.

But we've never flown -we always drive.

Are they best to book flights themselves via Expedia or something? Or should they use the CAA agent to get them cheap flights at the same time?

I'd price out a few options from multiple sources ie) direct airlines, expedia, orbitz, caa etc. and pick the better deal.

However, University must be different these days compared to 20 years ago when 'quieter class time' was either Xmas break or reading week. That is an awful lot of work to catch up on and with final exams starting 3 weeks after she gets back, she won't have it easy.

I would have her make certain they can check in! I have read that you must be 21 in the U.S to rent a hotel room. Perhaps someone else in her party is? As for your actual question, I always do better on flights on my own - a T/A will look and give you the price, but I will stalk the airlines, different airports, etc. to get the best deal. HTH!

I usually use expedia to plan (cost? availability?).

She will be missing 3 days total - her classes are only Monday, Wednesday & Friday for the fall semester! She says it is before any major assignments are due in her classes, so she has time before and after to work on papers.

oh wow - I hadn't realized that. Two of the girls will be 20, DD is 19. Here's hoping this can work!

And just got off the phone with Disney - minimum check in age is 18 - so they are good to go!
