We have a reservation for both Cape May and 1900 Park Fare in October and are trying to decide between the two. Kids are 7(boy) and 2(girl) and both eat seafood. We have a breakfast at CRT already if that makes a difference. We've never eaten at either so I'm looking for an opinion on the food. Thanks!

1900 Park Fair. Great buffet. I was eating at the kids buffet section because of the some of the choices.

Mary Poppins came over to our table last September and I was with my wife and a co-worker and his wife. Mary Poppins engages us in conversation and asked, "What brings you here today?" Chris, my co-worker says, "My Lexus." Mary Poppins was befuddled and could not finish her sentence. Beautiful. And then Tigger and Pooh came over and I sang the "Tigger" song. Gave Tigger and "hoo hoo hoo hoo." Love that place. Doing Breakfast there again.

It's nice to be old and have Disney bring back the memories of sitting in front of the TV on a Saturday night in the 60's and 70's with my parents and remember the songs.

Are you talking about dinner or breakfast? Dinner at 1900 park has Cinderella and the tremaines, and Prince Charming. I saw the tremaines in the park last time we were at Disney and they were a riot! Breakfast at cape may is characters (Minnie, goofy, Donald) or the dinner seafood buffet. We actually have both of those dinners as ADRs for our upcoming trip. But I have never been to either!

I love 1900 Park Fare, and it was a big hit with my kids (7, 5, & 1 at the time). Cape May always gets great reviews, though, so I wouldn't hesitate to eat there, if seafood's your thing. Looking at reviews from Disney bloggers and YouTube videos always helps me with my buffet ADRs. Sorry if that's not very helpful, but I think you'll be happy with whichever you choose!

Is this for breakfast or dinner? I know I'll be in the minority here, but I really dislike 1900PF for dinner. It was the worst meal of our trip last year. The food was bland and some of it was borderline inedible and there wasn't much to choose from on the buffet. I know a lot of people rave about the strawberry soup, but I can't comment on that because I'm allergic to strawberries. The character interaction was mediocre at best and our server was just plain rude. The place seriously lacks ambiance. Inside it looks like a diner with generic tables/chairs, no windows, no special decor, it's all just blah to me compared to the decor and feel of the GF lobby right outside the doors. I totally understand restaurants can have an "off" night, so I'd be willing to give this place another try someday, but our experience was so bad it probably won't be any time soon.

We've always had a great experience at Cape May, but the characters are only there are breakfast. Seafood is fresh and tasty, there's lots of variety to choose from, and when they run out of something (the crab legs go quick) they replenish it quickly. My only complaint here is the desserts aren't great IMO, but the food on the buffet makes up for it enough this is one we keep going back to.

If you're talking about breakfast....I have done both for breakfast and I guess with the ages of your children, I would choose CMC. Minnie, Goofy and Donald in their beach outfits are SO adorable. The character interaction is awesome and I quite enjoyed the food, although it is nothing really out of the ordinary. If you decide on 1900 PF, it is also great! Just slightly more rushed interactions IMO.

Fairly certain OP was talking about dinner since she states both kids like seafood. Haven't done CM. 1900 wasn't bad in April for food. I would eat there again if we need an ADR and could get one. The Tremaines were GREAT even my 14 DS had a last with them.

Since the kids like seafood I would go with Cape May. We ate there on Mother's Day and it was very good. The only downside was DS13 doesn't like seafood and there really weren't enough choices (in his eyes) for him to eat. But everyone else was very pleased with choices.

Cape May dinner buffet...my picture is on the manager's wall since I ate so many crab legs. EXCELLENT dinner buffet at Cape May.

Have had dinner at both, hands down Park Fare would get my vote! The character interaction alone is worth it. But the food is very good too! We're trying breakfast there next time--just for the strawberry soup!

We didn't care for Cape May. My oldest DS and husband love seafood. But not at Cape May. From New England, so we're used to real, fresh, good seafood. They said that's not what you got there! Other DS and I don't eat seafood and found very few choices that were at all appealing. We won't be back. But maybe we're in the minority!
