HP Second Generation RP

Cosette: "Oh, I'm sorry. You do really well for someone who deals with so much. It's easier for us because dad goes for business, as well."
Romulus: "Ah, I see. It's okay, really. I'm not really that smart, I manage to keep up because I work so hard all other times."

Cosette: "It has looked like it, I just wasn't sure." He was so quiet all the time that sometimes it was hard to tell.
Romulus: "I'm not really the type of Gryffindor that wears his heart on his sleeve." No, Romulus preferred suffering in silence to pity. As such, he didn't talk about his issues or share his problems. In fact, he didn't really talk much at all, leaving him the 5th wheel in their dorm and basically without friends.

Cosette: "Oh, okay." She wanted to say more, but it was difficult knowing what would or wouldn't be appropriate. At the very least the lengthy time spent in her fantasy world gave her at least a small amount of empathy for the situation.

Romulus: He reached up and put his hand in his hair, looking awkward. He didn't really know what to say. "So, uh... looking forward to anything this year?" Okay, wow that was lame.

Cosette: Cosette sensed the awkwardness of the silence, but chose to dose off rather than let it sit until he spoke. She felt a little bad not being able to relate to him well, seeing that he spent a lot of time alone. "Seeing people my own age is a nice change. At home there's just Ralph and I. But I'm rather excited for History of Magic." Her tone grew a little brighter as she continued.

Romulus: "Is Ralph your brother? I never had siblings." He gave a small smile as a thought hit him. "My uncle was telling me the other day that a ghost used to teach that class. Apparently he only taught about goblin wars."

Cosette: "Ralph's my six year old brother, sorry. Professor Binns! Mum used to talk about him quite a bit to make me laugh when I was little."

Romulus: "I'm glad it's not taught by a ghost any more. It seems like it would be hard to learn things."

Cosette: "Mum says everyone used to sleep," she laughed. "But on the bright side, he must have had firsthand experience with a lot of it."

OOC: Just a heads up: I will be on very irregularly over the next 2 /12 weeks. Some days I might be on a lot, and others probably not at all. Over and out!

OOC: So sorry I missed the start of this thread, but good news! I'll be on a lot more now, and that means I can RP, yay! I'll get my charries on the train, if that's okay, since I figured why not start now, I've got basically all day, and we can get the RP moving.

Pandora: She arrived on platform 9 3/4 a little later than she should've, but that was only because she was helping a smaller first year out, for they didn't know where to go. After making sure she had everything with her, she ran to catch the train, then boarded with her belongings. A couple kids from her year smiled at her, but no one invited her to sit with them.

Rufus: Once he reached the train, he sat in a compartment by himself. He smiled as he opened up a book to read.

OOC: Barely anything's happened, you're good
