Frogg Toggs for FL Travel in the Summer

i really don't know how many people are using for a typical trip, but to be safe i'd say 4 in total (2 male, 2 female)

They did not have them at the one store but I will continue to look for you. There are several around. I'm in the Ottawa suburbs and am going into Ottawa tomorrow. Stay tuned! :)

i appreciate the help....

Good news/bad news....found a store that had them but only had the pink with leopard - exactly as scrappinginontario posted. I can get 2 from there and keep looking and see if I have any luck with other colours. Then I will ship it all at once. Can you wait a week or do you need them sooner? I figure I can look over the next few days if you like.

trip is not until Sept. I'd prefer to wait for some better color options.......I appreciate the help to date !!

No problem, so you don't want the pink at all? I didn't get it yet as they had about 16 or so and it's less than 5 kms from me but I can run back it's no trouble.

It's funny it was in the 4th store I went to. I showed the picture to the people working in the stores and no one recognized it. The last person asked me what it was and I said a cooling towel and that triggered something because she then went on a mission because someone asked about them the other day.

I'll keep you posted :)

Pink is probably the east favorite option....but my selectiveness may diminish as we get closer to our date...thanks so much for thinking of me on your travels !

With all the talk on here, I found one in my local dollarama - yellow with black leopard print, and scooped it up. I am thinking of cutting it up.

I bought one and cut it in half but (IMO) as they are not really a towel that absorbs moisture it didn't work as well. The main idea behind them is to drape it around your neck or on your head I guess. If its for a child then cutting in half might work out okay.

Thanks for the heads up, I was just googling to find out what these were. I live in the GTA and will head out tomorrow to see if my local Dollarama has any. Thank you so much for posting this!!

I just went to my Dollarama in Kitchener and they had about 10 left. On the end cap of the seasonal/toy aisle at the back of the store. I got a hot pink spotted on for me and a neon yellow leopard one for my 19 y.o. DS lol. The only choice for him unless he wanted hot pink. :rotfl:

My DS took the yellow leopard one to the school track meet today. I held my breath and did NOT say the word "leopard" to him. His dad said, "cool - yellow camo!" (he has no clue LOL!). Hopefully the boys stay clueless...

I took it and cut it in half lengthwise this morning. It still looks wide enough to easily drape around a neck - might be more comfortable actually since it would have to be folded otherwise. Wet them both and sent them to school with both kids. We'll see if they use them since it is a cool day today.

I think I may have messed up one strip though. DH had the GRAND idea of insisting I write DS' name on it. I told him no one else will have a bright yellow chilly pad - but we've been through a LOT of missing items thanks to DS lately so DH insisted. I wrote on it in bright red marker, then blew it dry with a hairdryer. When I wet it, it still smeared a little. I have a feeling my son with come home with a red neck *sigh*

I said leopard to mine but thankfully didn't say anything...Next time I will refer to it as CAMO :rolleyes1

I found them at the Dollarama in Victoria BC ( Next Bed Bath & Beyond). I bought 4. They had Blue Camo print. DH whatever keeps you cool and happy.

Any word on which one in Hamilton?
We are also going in August. Went once before in August and anything to help with the heat would be spectacular.
I found mine at the Dollarama in Jackson Square. It was a while ago now so not sure if there is any left. They did have quite a few there though. Only the neon yellow leopard print. I also checked the location at Main and Walnut and Queenston Rd (Stoney Creek) but didn't find any at either. They were at the end of an aisle I believe the personal care aisle on a shelf.

Glad to see this thread is still going strong and that people are successfully finding Frogg Toggs.

We did this with our first one by cutting it lengthwise in half. It worked great and also wasn't too heavy around our neck for long periods of time.

These are intended more to cool your body rather than absorbing water. I haven't found them to be absorbent but rather the heat seems to be pulled right out of your body as you place it around your neck and drape the ends down. If it gets warm, just lift it and readjust it a bit and you're back in business. They really are neat!!

These sound like just what I need. I did find some and bought 4. I take medication that inhibits sweating, even when properly hydrated. I tend to suffer from heat stroke quite frequently even living in Victoria BC where it doesn't usually get super hot. We are supposed to have a hot summer this year and the forecast for this weekend is 25* plus so I guess I can test them out.

YAY /I found them at our DS yesterday. They had 4 and we bought 3. They were white with Pink Polka Dots. My son will have to live with it. He actually likes pink but you know, doesn't admit that to the boys....lol

Went to the Ancaster Meadowlands store yesterday, after half hour of searching, gave up.
Found them at the Ancaster store on Wilson St.:yay: They had 2 boxes on the bottom shelves by the lightbulbs:sad2:
Only had the yellow "camo" print. I got 2. Will look for pink ones for DD and her friend.
They do seem quite big, will probably cut in half lengthwise.
