~~ They're leaving the nest, sew it's time for a trip - or two - or three...~~ D~'s bag ~9/22 ~~

Looks like MM and Cooper is enjoying each others company even if it can get a little too much for MM some times.
Congratulation with your new phone.

I ordered airfare tickets with American Airlines. I never got the option to order checked in luggage with my tickets. Today when I contacted American Airlines they tell me that I have to buy checked in luggage at the airport and that it will cost $25 for each baggage. I find this hard to believe. D~~ have you ever traveled with American Airlines and know if this is true?

Yes - they do enjoy eachother's company, for sure... Just in short doses. LOL

Yay for ordering tickets... Yes - it is standard with most American airlines that they charge a luggage fee... It's usually $20-$25... I think that Southwest is the only airline over here that doesn't charge a luggage fee?

The Boys look like they are enjoying being brothers Seeing pictures of them makes me want to get my Rocky a brother or sister too!

I am TOTALLY jealous you are headed off to Maine Wednesday!! I have a full month before I go & it feels like it is soooooo far away!

Yes - they are... They are so cute together too.

I am very excited! I cannot wait... A little nervous to fly - but I always am.

I'm not sure about meals but I can't see why you couldn't as it's an accepted form of payment. As for souvenirs, I use GCs all the time and had no problem using them along with the discounts.

I do have to agree that the automatic 18% gratuity on the TiW kind of sucks but in the end I saved a ton of money so it was worth it.

Thanks for all the Cooper pictures, he is getting so big!

Have a wonderful time in Maine, I can't wait to read all about it!

Sounds good. :)

I am glad you still save with the 18%... It just seems like the 2% savings overall wouldn't be all that worth it, kwim?

I know - he is growing way too fast!

I am very excited! I cannot wait to see the girls!

I can answer your question about using gcs with TIW. Yes you can . We did it on out last trip but they take the tip off the gc when you pay. I didn't like that.
I'm glad the boys are getting along and potty training is coming along.
My daughter and her husband got the keys to their house and have been busy ripping wallpaper off walls. Every room has wallpaper. We painted the living room yesterday. Part of the wallpaper in the master is off, too. their nieces and nephews had fun doing that. They're not removing all of it right now, just the ugliest ones. the house is really a nice house with a huge yard. There's no garage.
I hope you have a fun trip to Maine and visiting everone.
Liz

This is excellent news!!! Glad to hear that we can indeed use GCs to pay. ::yes::

They are getting along - just in small doses, I can tell when MM is sick of Cooper, he begs to be let into the gated areas. LOL

Yay for your dd and her dh, that is awesome news... No fun ripping down wallpaper, but I bet it will be really nice when they are done.

Thank you - I am sure we will... Suzi has all sorts of plans for us! :thumbsup2

Yeah, we can talk about it more IN PERSON IN A COUPLE DAYS (yay!) but I am kinda nervous about the TIW thing. Not sure how that is going to work....but like I said, we'll talk more soon. Least of our worries. It will be an amazing trip! I've even stopped looking for a Poly standard room....very excited about CR GW!

Yay!!!! Yes, not sure about tiw either - but we can chat about it - TOMORROW~!!!!!

Hehehe... Good choice... I am excited about it too~!

Safe travels!

Thank you! :lovestruc

Almost all caught up. Yes, we were able to hold the slipper. We did it together and individually.
We had a blast! POFQ was perfect for us. Had a little issue with the shower, but they fixed it AND for our inconvenience they refunded me a full night.
Glad you have your flight booked. Cooper is getting so big, but oh so cute.
Today was back to work and how I cringed at the alarm clock.
Have a great day!

That is just so cool!

Love FQ... Did you see Santos???

How awesome that they refunded you one night...

Yes - it's a relief to have it booked, for sure.

I know - he is getting so big... He can stop growing anytime now. LOL

I know that feeling - I'll be feeling it next week.

You too - thank you!

Guess what day it is?????? Oh come on, you can do it.......
No, it's not Hump Day, thats tomorrow.
No. It's not Maine Day, that's tomorrow.
No, it's not Disney Day, that's 162 days away.

Yep, that's right.....it's D's birthday!!!! Happy Happy Birthday my dear friend! Can't wait to squish you and Mo TOMORROW!

Hehehe... Thank you Suzi! I love you!

Happy birthday!!!

Thank you! :lovestruc

Happy Birthday I hope you have a great day

Thank you Lillian! :lovestruc

Happy Birthday, Dee. I guess this trip really is a birthday trip. What a great way to celebrate.

Thank you Sue! :lovestruc

*****************************************************************************

I had a really nice day yesterday...

I worked for a very short time in my sewing room...

Then BFF and I met up... She bought me my mani/pedi for my birthday... It was so sweet of her. I warned her ahead of time that my Disney nails are expensive... but she insisted. I am very excited to have my dots back. ::yes:: :woohoo:

I didn't get home until late - as I had errands to run after...

I didn't eat dinner last night - my stomach was off... It's still a little off this morning... I think it's my normal flight nervousness. It will go away once I get through security tomorrow morning... I just hate the "having to take everything out that I've packed so neatly" hub-bub that you have to go through...

I checked in for my flights this morning... So that's done. I got half-way decent boarding numbers... A48 for my flight to Chicago and B7 for my flight to Manchester.

No big plans for today...

I already did my heavy lifting... I seem to do better getting on the Dis in the morning if I can respond to replies when I finish working out - that way Cooper is still napping.

I am going upstairs to work for a little while today.

Then I will finish my packing and haul my luggage down.

I have to run to town later and grab a couple of items.

Allison said that Gus is coming for dinner tonight... Not sure what we are having? I might try to see if Josh will do burgers on the grill? Or maybe we will go to the local mom & pop DQ type place? I dunno? I don't want a huge meal with my stomach being weird, and flying tomorrow... Although - burgers may not be the best choice either? :scratchin

Anyways... I hope you all have a fabulous day and a fabulous rest of your week... I'll try to check in from Maine as I can. :grouphug:

Happy birthday!

Our last trip, we charged stuff to the room and then went to the front desk with our gift cards to pay, this way we didn't have to take the gift cards with us to the park each day.

Love ya mean it..

See you tomorrow!

Sounds like you had a great day yesterday. Once again I hope you have a great birthday.

One question about the checked in baggage fee. Is it normal that you pay for it first once you get to the airport and not in advance?

Happy, Happy Birthday, D. :bday::bday::bday::bday::bday::bday::flower3:

Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you tomorrow....have a great time with Suzi and Mo and give them both a big hug from me.

I am glad you still save with the 18%... It just seems like the 2% savings overall wouldn't be all that worth it, kwim?
This is how I used to feel about the Tables in Wonderland card. I didn't buy it when we first bought our annual pass, even though I knew we were going on two trips. The $100 fee just didn't seem worth it. I figured I could use the AP 10% discount for some of our restaurants - Trails End and Whispering Canyon Cafe for breakfast, for example, and we didn't plan to do a lot of sit down meals. Well, I kept track of what we spent and how much we would have saved on the four trips we ended up taking that year, and I regretted not buying the TiW in the first place. When I renewed our AP for this year I bought the TiW card, too. With three trips already finished, we have saved a lot of money. And we still have two more trips we can use it on if I book another trip for January or February 2016. The card is good for 13 months. :)

The TiW card will save you money if you plan to go to restaurants anyway. For example, if you are planning to do Liberty Tree Tavern anyway, then you would be leaving a tip, so the 20% discount really is 20%, not 18%, since you would have paid it anyway - unless you would have left 15% tip - then your savings would be 17%. This card really works best if you are taking multiple trips. You might not even recover the full $100 on this trip. But if you add a few ADR's for the next two trips, it would work. Now if you paid for your friends meals with the card, they would benefit from the 20% discount and that will help them out a little. :) You would just have to figure out the bill later.

If you use the TiW card in food courts at value resorts and at POFQ, then you will save the full 20%. It is also good for refillable mugs purchased in those food courts.

Happy Birthday - I hope to catch up with you while your here visiting Suzi and our wonderful state!

Good morning everyone!!! Thank you so much for all of the birthday wishes... I had a wonderful birthday and was able to spend it with Josh, the girls and Gus. Nothing exciting happened - but it was still a nice day, and I didn't have to cook dinner. :thumbsup2

Let me take a moment to remind you all that today is Suzi's birthday! So, in case you didn't know... Suzi, Mo and I all have birthdays a few days apart - hence the reason for the aptly named "Annual Birthday Trip". ::yes::

Sooooo... Today is NOT Disney day... but it is the very best next thing... Today I get to squish Suzi and Mo in person! I cannot WAIT! Notice the time... I've already been up for nearly an hour - that's how excited I am! ::yes::

Coffee in hand... (I know it's hard to read the clock in the background, but it says 1:58am... Gulp - it's gonna be a long day!)

20150603_015830.jpg

Oh wow - that photo is huge... Makes my kitchen look awful and my face look awful-er. Sigh... Oh well, it is what it is at 2am. LOL

So, it's going to be a LONG travel day for me, but I am ready to go - just a few last minute items to pack! I'll check in as I can - probably with airport selfies, because I am bored & I have a 4 hour layover in Chicago. LOL

I hope you all have a wonderful remainder of your week. :grouphug: Prayers and Pixie Dust to all!

D~

Have a safe trip! You all try not to scar Vermont with your shenanigans! LOL! I know you folks will have a BLAST!

I've made it safely to Chicago... Mo is stuck in traffic, but on her way... Just hanging out at Midway with my coffee and fb. ::yes::
