A Warning for DVA Account Holders! - ETA: Problem Solved!

I have not heard back from Disney either. I will give them another day and them follow up, I sincerely hope they are working on a resolution.
 
Suppose that from now on you only put one gift card into your Disney account at a time and verify on line that it "took" before putting in the next gift card.

Also do a print screen of every step.

I was doing this before the current problems arose.
 


I'm going to keep track of gift cards with a xls spreadsheet. I seem to experience too many website glitches, could that be related to outsourcing IT?
 
I just got off the phone with the DVA tech help department. They're working on it & said they hope to have it fixed soon. I have a ton of gift cards that I need to load into my DVA, but won't be doing it until this is completely fixed & I get credit for the cards that were wiped out.

Ugh good luck keep us posted. I have a bunch of cards in afraid to load also. How can this system be such a mess??!!!
 


I have been afraid to check my account lately. I just finally did and it is accurate but I won't be loading anymore until I hear it's resolved.
 
I'm in the same boat... Entered 4 cards Sat night and kept getting "frozen account" errors. 3 out of 4 cards were applied to my DVA. The 4th has zero balance and confirmed with Gift Card balance person that it was "used" Sat night at 9:19pm, the exact time I tried to apply it. Spoke with DVA, they gave same answers as above, but didn't take down my information. I am hoping the money will come back on our cards once the system realizes the transactions did not process. Glad to have this thread so we can keep track of the progress.
 
As I mentioned in another thread, they error-ed in MY favor. My account is $50 high. Let's see who they correct first :-)
 
If anybody finds out it's resolved let us know, I also have some to load but am worried.

Looks like you have someone else's deposit.

Wonder if maybe this is the disgruntled workers being replaced by foreign workers. No accusations, just a thought.
 
No, what happened with mine is it kept locking up on two of the cards, and I kept putting the same number in. Instead of giving me a $0 balance it just locked up. When I finally logged out and back in it took the deposit out twice. Actually shows a $0 balance on the card with two $50 withdraws. I'm not expecting to keep it, just worried once I call to get it corrected they will error in the other direction.

Hi :) Just clarifying you aren't seeing this in the DV account correct? I'm assuming you are seeing the debits/credits in the disneygiftcard.com, correct? I have not had an update since yesterday but it feels they need to come up with a plan B for this in case it takes much longer.

They didn't know how they'd resolve it (which is scary lol) by either entering the funds directly into the DV account as it should have happened or re-crediting the Disney gift card back with $50.00. Again, I feel for those who need to enter into the DV account to use for vacation and/or need the funds on the gift cards to just take with them. We are leaving in 3 weeks for our Norway cruise and thank goodness I have already paid for most things I need to with the DV account, awhile back.

Speaking of the cruise, this morning I cancelled our transfers I had booked and paid $180 for and the funds should be going back into my DV account. Based on my past experience when I had a refund, it was pretty quick, like in hours and so far, the refund is not showing. I'm praying it's just their timing and a delay and *not* another indication of another problem to follow-up on.

I just got an email from the DVA account guest services department informing me that the missing funds from my Disney gift card deposit on Friday 5/29 have been deposited into my account. I checked and the balance is now correct. I will still wait another week before depositing any more cards though. Hopefully this means the IT department has corrected the "glitch".

Very interesting and progress!! Mine is also from 5/29 so perhaps they are doing them in order. I have not received an email and I just checked my account and still not showing there either. I'm hoping it's soon!

I am so frustrated. This is my first experience with DVA and I am not happy. I'm wondering if it's even worth the $20 gift cards bonuses per each thousand.

Yikes, yours is from 5/28 :( I'm with you, getting frustrated as we are nearing a week now. I have optimism with the above poster getting notified and fixed but then it makes you wonder why it's taking so long to do others. Our accounts are jinxed, lol (I know not funny). I might follow-up once again and really stay on them. As I mentioned, we are leaving for Europe in 3 weeks and will be gone for 3 weeks and I just want this behind me as I have too many other things to "worry" about :)

I posted in the gift card thread but will update here as well...

If you called and spoke to someone about missing funds in your DVA, the issue will be resolved ASAP. My name is on the list to be fixed today. They have to go one by one and fix it manually and apparently this was a big problem with lots of people affected.

They also said that they are advising people to go ahead and enter cards into DVA again and the issue is now resolved.
