I usually went to Costco every week (15 minutes away) but last week and this week I didn't need to go because my supermarket had milk on sale. So I'm sure that saved me at least $50 at Costco.

.
$400.00 groceries
$250.00 gas (one car)
$200.00 Misc. spending
My goal is 15 days. I alway shoot for at least 1/2 the month
coupon savings $11.00

2. $5.00 at Walmart, retail was $29.00

I'm in for June! These threads are really making me STOP AND THINK about the little purchases! I hate to stop and buy an afternoon seltzer or coffee because it will mean it is NOT a NO-BUY day. Saving HARD for the next tuition payment and a trip to Bermuda in October (to visit DD who is going to school abroad there this fall) and I've been literally squirreling away every extra penny and working every extra job I can get! It is paying off... LITERALLY!

Anyhooooooo... aiming for another 18 No-Buy days this month! Just a reminder.... I don't count gas or groceries..... but any restaurant meals, clothing, snacks/treats, etc do count! ...............P

June 1: No work, Dr. appointment for DS, stopped at thrift store and spent a bit.
June 2: Worked both jobs and then home.... $0 spent
June 3: Work and home.... $0 spent
June 4: Work and home.... $0 spent
June 5: Work and home ...... $0 spent
June 6: To DD's school to help her move.... brunch/dinner out... but with a gift card I earned through my health insurance. But still $$ out of my pocket so I am counting it as a spend day.
June 7: Ditto yesterday.
June 8: Work and home.... $0 spent
June 9: Worked both jobs and then home..... $0 spent
June 10: Work and home.... $0 spent (at least, so far!)
June 11: Work and home....$0 spent
June 12: Work and home.....then rented two Redbox movies with DD... $3 spent.
June 13: Science day at WPI.... bought dinner for the family and for DS's girlfriend and her Mom after.... $144 spent !! And that was without booze!
June 14: Bought some workout clothes and sneakers for DD and DS and then Subway for lunch on our way home from visiting my parents.
June 15: Work and home.... hopefully this will end up being a no-buy day!

Hey everyone! I was terrible in May and neglected to update my progress even, so I have to be diligent in June. I need to keep my credit card balance low since I want to pay off 1 of my 3 remaining student loans in July and I'm in the process of buying tickets for next year's Olympics in Brazil. Hopefully, those 2 things will keep me motivated to stop spending.

I'm going to shoot for 15 days since I have events all but one weekend this month.

June:

1-spend, only $2 for parking while out of town
2-spend, $1 for parking while out of town........soooo much cheaper than Chicago
3-No Buy #1
4-No Buy #2
5-spend, brought donuts into the office since it's been a rough week, also bought groceries
6-No Buy #3
7-No Buy #4

4/15 Days so Far......a decent start
