APH rooms

Over the years I've booked APH rooms at all 3 Universal deluxe hotels. Inevitably, ours rooms are at the end of a hallway or 2nd to last room. Is this common? I've never complained about location, and I don't put in room location requests, I'm happy to get a good discount, but after our last stay I wonder why we always get the same location!! Anyone have a different experience?

BTW, at RPR this last stay I had 2 water view rooms booked, hoping to see the pool, and the rooms we were assigned had a front of the resort view (was told by the front desk in previous years the front is a water view). We asked to change rooms as my DH wanted a nap when we checked in and we could hear jack hammers all around. We were moved to another tower with the old decor, the rooms were in the same location, end of the hall and had the same view, water and tiered gardens out front. But, we were told the 2nd set of rooms were standard view and the price difference was refunded back to us..?? Did we just get lucky?

I don't think front of the hotel rooms are considered to be water view rooms. We had them last time and we definitely had standard rooms booked.

I agree. The only other rooms besides actual waterview/pool view, is tower 1 facing the theme park and water taxi waterway.

This is directly from the website.

Garden View Rooms
Enjoy 335 square feet of tropical paradise in one of our inviting Standard Guest Rooms. Each offers king bed or double queen bed accommodations, and a wealth of exceptional amenities.

Water View Rooms
It's all the comfort and amenities of our 335 square foot Standard Guest Rooms, with a view. Gaze out upon the hotel's spectacular lagoon pool or waterway.

My first stay was a garden view in PBH. Either Fl resident or APH rate. I did ask prior to be in the tower closer to the water taxi. At check in they said that was not available, so i asked for a room not to far down the other tower and we got a room about 4 rooms past the elevator, it was perfect! i think you just have to ask!

We had two rooms toward the end of Tower 2 at RPH in March on AP rate. But, in December we had a pool view at HRH and we were about five rooms past the elevator hallway. Perfect!
