So my husband agreed to going a day early for our trip in September! This adds another dining credit, doing the free dining plan, we aren't going to a park that day but want to go to another resort for dinner. We are staying at AoA. Suggestions?? Not signature and with two kids. Looking online still have lots to choose from but would love some feedback!!

I've heard good things about Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Ask for a window seat and you can see the animals. According to the Disney Tourist Blog it's delicious and underrated so a fairly easy ADR to get. I made an ADR for our trip in November based off their review :)

If you're staying at AoA, you get the QS plan, not the full plan with table service meals. Did you upgrade to regular dining? Or are you looking for a QS meal at another resort? You did mention using credits, but not sure if that's QS or TS. If you can provide some more info, I'm sure you'll get more relevant suggestions!

We did upgrade to dining plan. My 9 year old really wants planet hollywood. I'm kind of eh about it. We're doing Boatwrights Sunday night, wet there last year and loved it. I like idea of going to another resort on Saturday since we aren't going to a park. We're doing Chef Mickeys one morning, 1900 park fare one evening, the rest are at parks. Just didn't know if anyone had a must do resort fave!! Thanks for the suggestions thus far!!!

Boma at AKL is great--buffet with some very different choices, but still enough for picky eaters. Stroll around outside and see the animals before.

Trails End at the campground is another buffet. Very, very good comfort food--home cooking like fried chicken, ribs, cornbread, etc. You can take the boat from MK and it makes for a nice evening.

You already have Park Fare which is great!

Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge is a lot of fun for the kids! Some antics by the staff that makes for a fun atmosphere. Food is also quite good.

Personally, I won't go back to Chef Mickey's. Yuck! But if you haven't done it before, it's probably one of those things everyone should try!

You could also consider something at Downtown Disney. We're trying Raglan Road this year because we've heard so many good things about it.

We really did enjoy T-Rex too. Thought it would just be typical chain restaurant food, but it was quite good. And service was the best we had that trip.

How about Cape May at the Beach Club? I is a clam bake, and my family enjoyed it when we went a few years ago. This will give you a chance to explore the Epcot resorts. WE really like to walk on the Boardwalk and wander in and out of the shops and resorts as we go. The Beach Club is especially nice to visit. In the evening there is entertaiment on the Boardwalk so all in all it is a fun night.

Raglan Road is so great! Live entertainment, great food, and one of the bigger kid menus available. My nieces love Trex as well at DTD. My resort faves are Kona, Sanaa, Boma (but much more at breakfast), Olivia's at OKW. I personally do not care for Whispering Canyon at all. The food is just not very good, but a lot of people do not agree with me lol.
