We leave in two days and I am in a PANIC!!! o_ODoes the Magical Express require tickets or do they scan the magic bands? We have the yellow luggage tags but I don't know if I have misplaced tickets for the bus. I thought we had tickets last year but maybe they did just scan the band. Help please!! Thanks in advance!

This should apply to your circumstance. Straight from Disney's website.....

Q.

I did not receive my Disney's Magical Express documents or luggage tags prior to leaving home. What should I do?

A.

Once you arrive at Orlando International Airport, go directly to Disney's Magical Express and speak with a Disney Cast Member.

If you have received your MagicBands, please be sure not to pack them in your checked luggage, as they will be used to check in with Disney’s Magical Express and to unlock your room when you arrive at your Disney Resort hotel.

If your flight arrives between 5:00 AM and 10:00 PM, please provide us with the checked baggage claim numbers that you received from your airline when you checked your bags. We will obtain your information, collect your luggage and deliver it to your room at your Disney Resort hotel.

For airport arrivals after 10:00 PM, you must collect your luggage at Baggage Claim and take it with you on the motorcoach.

You're fine. You're obviously registered since you have the yellow tags. There used to be tickets that they scanned. Not anymore. Your MB serves as your 'ticket'. So be sure to keep your MBs in your carry on bags!!

They don't send tickets anymore, just a confirmation letter. Everything happens through the MagicBands now. Have a great trip. :)

We put our MB's on the night before to get into Disney mood then leave them on during the flight and DME trip.

We don't get MBs in advance (in Canada) so we get tickets and show those and they scan them. A few years ago, we didn't get our tickets in advance with our package although I think we got our luggage tags. We just went to the desk, gave them our name, and they printed them out there. We didn't even need a reservation number - just our name was enough. It took all of 5 minutes.

Glad to hear they will assist! We are flying in from a different airport than DMIL (who is in our room). Our flights are due to arrive within about 30 minutes of each other, so we're planning to just bring her band. But just in case one flight is delayed or whatever, it's good to know she shouldn't have an issue getting to the resort (I will be mailing her the yellow luggage tags and DME paperwork, but would rather not mail a magic band)
