Checking in at the Fort on Saturday May 30. We have decided to leave Atlanta on Friday and come down early. Any suggestions for a place to stay over between Ocala and Orlando that Friday night?

Thousand Trails (no membership needed) hwy 27Clermont. There are 2 Wal-Marts, 2 Publix closeby to stock up.

We have stayed at Ocala North RV Park. It is about 2 hours or less to Disney from there. It is convienent off 75. I don't think there is much around it . It is near a horse farm. It was quiet from the highway. They have full timers but a section up front for over nighters. Only caution if you show up after hours is there is a drop box for payment and in that case you will need cash or check. I think it was $40. They had a pool but we did not use it. It was just an overnight till disney.

We did fort summit koa. It did the job, but keep trying to get into FW. I say this as its worth not having to break camp for 1 day . We typically stay in foryth, GA KOA ( they have some nice pull through and right next to highway. ) and drive to FW. its about 450 miles.
