Best seafood on property??

I'm surprised at the negativity towards Fulton's as well. We live in New England and eat Lobster, Crab (Snow, Alaskan, etc) and a ton of other fish/shellfish often - I've never had a bad meal at Fulton's. We especially like the cold seafood tower and of course the lobster or crab legs.
Whew! Glad that another New Englander is vouching for Fultons, lol. We did lunch there once and enjoyed it. We like seafood though, crab and lobster, steamers, mussels, you name it. I don't think there exists a seafood dish that I dislike.

I had made reservations for Cape May last trip, but I was afraid that it wouldn't be up to my clambake standards. They don't have crab legs or clamcakes either. What's up with that? ;)

I don't think there is an "excellent" seafood restaurant in Disney world.

Unless you count V&A's...

I think it's what dishes you chose and where...as others have mentioned.

The salmon at artists point is great for salmon.
The potato grouper at flying fish.
Monkfish at Jiko
The shrimp at Sanaa (anyway)
A hidden gem is the mussel pot at Ale and compass at yacht club (if they still have it)
The seafood is good at California grill...as is narcos sees and citricos
Halibut at brown derby

Blue zoo is overall the best quality...
Fultons is good for me...

So it depends.

I would avoid coral reef (even though I had a wedding reception there)... Just not a good effort on Disney's part for either prep nor variety

And cape may just is not good. But I like to call that the "Chinese buffet effect"...
As in people think any buffet with crab legs and shrimp
Is fantastic just because its all you can eat.

The best fried shrimp can be found at Cooke's of Dublin in DTD. Even though a CS, it's one of my favorite restaurants. Shrimp is large and fresh-tasting.

Also like the clam chowder at Columbia Harbor House.

I also really enjoy Cape May. While quality can be hit or miss, I enjoy the variety and am never disappointed with the clams and mussels.

This topic started before the Boathouse opened, but Boathouse is it followed by Flying Fish Cafe, Narcoossee's and blue zoo. I am not a big fan of Fulton's and eat at Cape May Cafe mostly because we stay at the Y&BC usually and it good enough.

As far as seafood, our family prefers shellfish and crab is at the top of the list. Based on that, Fulton's is our favorite. I was thinking about trying the Boathouse next trip, but we are going to probably stick with Fulton's. We also like Cape May, it does not compare to Fulton's in quality, but is is significantly less expensive.

Consider me one of the Cape May fans. I enjoyed it much more than Fulton's. Haven't tried Flying Fish but it's on my list. Every seafood dish I've tried at the California Grill has been excellent also, but I suppose that's not a seafood restaurant per se.

Hmm. I've never been inclined to try seafood at WDW when I live in Atlantic Canada and can have delicious fresh-off-the-boat lobster, scallops, and fish.
Even if it's "good", it's not going to be the same, surely, as something that I've steamed or caramelized within a couple hrs of it leaving the sea. Plus, hot state...seafood..chance of food poisoning would be crappy. Yikes.

Though I would, and have, tried something that isn't available around here, like catfish. It's nice to try something new.

My family is still talking about the fish sandwiches from Cooke's (since November)! We went on a whim when our standby, Wolfgang Puck Express, was crazy busy. One of the best things I ever ate!
