I've never been to Sea World Orlando but we are going for the day and I'd love to hear any advice, tips, tricks and especially recommendations on where to eat.....TIA!!

If you look through the trip reports on this forum, you will find a lot of tips and tricks, including information on dining. Also try the threads on the all-day dining plan. I believe some of those have menus, prices, and food photos.

Regarding dining, I can only speak for a few places. Voyagers Smokehouse BBQ is good counter service BBQ. Seaport Pizza and Mango Joe's Burgers are okay. I haven't been to Mango Joe's in a while, but I recall it is the better of the two with more variety. If you are willing to pay extra, I highly recommend Dine with Shamu. It is good buffet food (including beer and wine), plus a great exhibition of how the trainers work with the killer whales.

Voyagers is our first choice, followed by the SeaFire Inn, Spice Mill, and Mango Joes.

I will also concur with JaxDad....Dine with Shamu is very worthwhile, and an excellent value.

Best tips and tricks? Be there before rope drop (you'll get a ton done early before the crowds arrive), take in all the little exhibits as you go from attraction to attraction (don't skip those wonderful aquariums tucked in behind Manta and Journey to Atlantis), plan your day around the shows (they are all fantastic and worth a watch!), budget for some animal feeding (its a wonderful experience that really, really enhances your day) and....most of all.....savour the wonderful feeling of enjoying a park without having to have every single moment of the day pre-planned.

Completely agree with Gina, get there at rope drop. Looking back at our trip last week, we probably did as much in the first 3 hours of each days visit as we did the remainder of the day/evening.

I was disappointed with Voyagers, at with the ribs. I found the bbq at Terrace bbq better. Although the carrot cake at Voyagers is worth visiting by itself. :cake:

Get there at park opening time, as everyone said.
Get the park map ASAP and look at show times & where shows are. (can use web site a few days ahead of time for the show times)
Fit in all the rides and animal encounters between shows, use map to plan a route.
First visit, see the attractions, don't waste time on where to eat.
Eat when you feel like it. Food is good but you can eat good food anywhere.
