New DVC Website Design

I am on the site now. Logged in about 5 minutes ago. It looked like the regular old site. I just hit 'back" (from reservations) and now it looks new like the WDW site. We'll see how long it lasts...

And here we are 5 minutes later and back to the original design!

Tried to log in and I got the "Page not Found" error.
I tried to do a chat and they redirected me to the member site, which took me back to the "page not found"error.
Hope they fix it soon.

No sorry I didn't. It was very white! It has a nice clean look but I think I favor the (ugly IMO) older site.

It looked very much like disneyworld.com does if that makes any sense.

Oh wait, here we go, it flipped over to the new site again. I tried to ensure the screenshot had no personal info. If anyone sees anything let me know so I can edit the picture. Thanks

When I just went on the home page looks the same, but some of the different pages when you hit the tabs on top such as my membership, membership magic and destinations are different. What is the same is the site is still very, very, very, very, very, very... you get the idea, very slow... What still shocks me is that a company such as Disney still shows outdated picutures such as the preliminary pre-construction artist rendering of the Villa's at Grand Floridian Resort, opens fall 2013. I'm not a Disney basher and love Disney; But let's get real, this is now the Summer of 2015. I would think by now they could update this and perhaps even show a photo of the actual resort instead of an artist's rendering of a future design that has been a reality for almost 2 years. :confused3

That's the site they've been working on for many months now. I've had it's pages pop up now and then.

Try dealing with rundisney. They still have the same pictures (runners crossing the tape! sweaty people getting medals! sweaty people posing for pictures!) that they had from when I first registered for a rundisney race. My first event was in October 2013, so I registered at least 6 months before that. I know they have photographers on the course; they really could get new pictures!

Or on the cruise website which still shows rooms for the Magic with the old ugly comforters...

They are terrible at updating the website. The HHI villa photos are all still shots before the refurb. (At least it was the other week unless they've updated since last I looked).
Same with the Disney Beach Resorts site. How hard is it to upload some new photos? I realize that anything they do must be "approved through the proper channels" but good grief.

I can't even get on the site this morning AGAIN. Just tried and it won't load.

What happened to testing things in QA before making a site live? While I don't have any needs to for the DVC site right now, I feel badly for those who needed to make reservations this morning.

Hopefully the new site runs faster though. I usually login and then walk away for a few minutes while it loads. :hourglass

you would think they would test before going live. thats typical for most IT companies. or, at the very least, they could have the site go live at night when most aren't using the site and test. if it breaks, then move it back before the next day booking window opens. strange.

I was just on a few minutes ago and still not working properly. When I click on one of the links to look at my points or to bank my points I go to a screen that says 500 Internal Server Error. And the options that do work on the website are slower than the days of dial up... :confused3

I just called MS to make a change in a reservation & ask about the problems I'd been having with the website. She said it was a global issue & that IT was working on it & that it would be fixed soon if not today. All the "challenges" we'd been having with it would be taken care of.
