Memories questions

I plan on getting married next summer at the grand Floridian using the memories package and I have a few questions if anyone is able to help
I know ou can book it 6 months in advance but when should I be phoning to try get the best slot?
What times do they have available?
can I get hair and makeup done at the grand Floridian?
Is there anywhere there that I can get dressed?
I don't plan on having the limo service so am I best to get a taxi to and from the venue? I'm staying on site at another hotel
If anyone has done the same package I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Welcome! The DFTW phone lines open at 9am Est, so you can call then, though I wouldn't worry about there being crazy competition for your time and date. Times are 9, 11, 1 and 3. You can get hair and makeup and the salon at the GF depending on your timeslot- the salon doesn't open until 9am. I am not sure about a place to get dresses - I don't think so. A lot of brides have a cosmetologist come to their rooms from an outside company and provide services there.

You can get a taxi, but you can also work with your planner to rent a towncar or limo as well.

I just checked for myself. There is a David's Bridal in Orlando, not far from the world. But you're having to rely on the dress you find fitting you exactly because you won't have time for any alterations. Try looking at places like Macy's & JCPenney, they have wedding gowns online. Some of their bigger stores have a small bridal area on site as well. If you find something at home, I've read where other Disney Brides have their dresses shipped to Caroline Ann's, they hold it for a small fee, steam & deliver it right to your room.

Taxi-- I agree, work with your planner on other transportation. Besides, if you use the limo provided in the package, it's consecutive, so you can have the limo get hubby/fiance & then it can come back around & get you when you're ready. And when the short ceremony & photos are done, you can have the limo take you back to your room etc. And I believe you can pay for extra time as well. It's worth it.

And the only place I know at the Grand you can get married at on the Memories is the Cove/Cay area. I'd ask your planner if you can use the Bridal Vestibule at the Wedding Pavillion? Or if they may have a room for you? Not sure on that one. I'm planning on getting ready in our room, or I may just go to my girlfriend's house the night before. (She will be living in the area)
