I spent quite a bit of time on this board trying to figure out my plan of attack for our trip on the Friday before Memorial day weekend. Park hours that day were 9-9 at Universal and 9-8 at IOA.

We came directly from Disney Cruise, arrived at Royal Pacific Hotel around 8:30 am....checked in and they just happened to have a room ready so we went ahead and moved our luggage in which slowed us down a little. Went to machines to get the front of the line pass using our hotel keys and then headed to the boat dock to get to Universal. By the way 4 of us, myself, DW and 2 DD, all over 18. Went directly to kiosk printed tickets and got to turn stiles about 9:50 am.....the crowds were rolling in. See below for our day.

Despicable Me, Minion Mayhem
Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket
Transformers: The Ride-3D
The Simpsons Ride
Men in Black
Escape from Gringotts (single rider) the ride broke down when we were just about to front, took and extra 30 min.....we only spent minimal time in the Harry Potter area.
Disaster (this one also broke down and we never got to finish)
Revenge of the Mummy
Lunch at Louie's Italian Restaurant (American Express Discount)
Hogwarts Express to IOA
Poseidon's Fury
The Incredible Hulk
Doctor Dooms Fearfall
Spiderman
Jurassic Park River Adventure
Shared a Frozen Butterbeer
Harry Potter and The Forbidden Journey (here around 5:00 pm, 20 minute wait so we did the full queue)
The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride.
Cinnabon (American Express Discount)

We left the park around 6:00 pm and we still had plenty of time to hit more rides if we had wanted, we were pretty exhausted coming off the cruise and being in the heat all day, so we called it a day.....hope this helps some people with planning, this was a crowded day and would never have gotten to do as much without the front of the line pass. If we had arrived earlier we could have gotten in on the early pass. We only had one day in Orlando after the cruise and made the most of it....this will give you an idea of what you can accomplish in the amount of time we were there, we never rushed but stayed at a steady pace.......let me know if you have any questions and I will try to answer.

Sounds like you had a busy, but fun day!

So nice of you to post all that to help someone planning a trip! It's a shame you experienced those break-downs.

you packed a lot of fun stuff in one day.
bet you had a great time.

see you also got in one water ride.
and a kewl it was...!

you'll become the leader of the pack if you do a trippie and tell all the details when you zigged and zagged.

Did not do a lot of zigging and zagging.......especially in Universal, we started up front and made a circle....the list of rides above is the order that we went throughout the day, after Mummy and lunch we back tracked to Hogwartst express to IOA. Once we got to IOA we did do a big back track by going from the Potter area to upfront and worked our way back. This was intentional.

I personally wanted to do all the water rides, rest of family did not. Talked youngest daughter into riding Jurassic with me....wound up in front row and fairly soaked.

nothing wrong getting soaked on a ride.
when my boys were little, they loved the water rides thinking that meant they didn't have to take a shower that night before bed.
