Giftcardbin.com has Target cards for 8% off right now

Are they good & reliable? At Easter this year, TWO cards arrived to our home, opened, w/ the money removed. We reported it, but I'd rather not go through that w/ a gift card purchase. Maybe I should ship to my work?

Can someone talk to me about the Raise Disney Cards? Do you buy the e-cards and use those on Disney's site to buy plastic gift cards to use in the parks?

I just wanted to throw out a HUGE "Thank You" to you folks here who have taken the time to explain these great deals.:thanks:

I wanted to take a trip to WDW this fall and I had a VERY tight ($1000) budget to work with. That had to include my airfare, 1/2 lodging and a liberal food (and beverage:drinking1) allotment. I am pleased to say that I have purchased gift cards to cover all of it and saved a lot!

I had a budget of $300 for airfare, $300 for food and $350 for lodging, with the other $50 as "miscellaneous". The best fare I'd found was $318 from SWA (that has since dropped to $251:headache: but I can't do anything about that now...) so I used the Target=>SWA gift card method and paid $278.77 for our airfare, saving $39.23. I have purchased $750 worth of Disney gift cards which cost me a total of $639.89, saving $110.11:love:. That $750 will cover my half of our room ($328.50) and leave me with over $400 for food and beverages:cool1:.

In total, I have spent $918.66 which has covered my lodging, airfare and food...with an extra $100 that I can use to splurge. I saved $149.34 on $1050 worth of gift cards...and that does not take into account the rebates I've earned through SR, TopCashBack and my PayPal debit card.

I also had to book a pre-flight hotel since our flight leaves at 7am from an airport 90 minutes from home. I used Hotwire and got a Wingate by Wyndham for about $70 (my half is $35.15) so I am still under my $1K limit:cheer2:. This trip will be just me and my mom, but on the chance that there is any leftovers on the gift cards, we have another trip planned for next June so nothing will go to waste.

Just wondering if it would be safer for me to have the gift cards shipped from Target to my workplace? I know my mail at home sometimes gets given to my neighbors. I know at work we sometimes get mail from other companies, but its few and far between. What do you think?

I know this isn't related directly to Disney gift cards, but you can get Rainforest Cafe, T-Rex and Yak & Yeti (all Landry's restaurants) gift cards at a 10% discount through Citi Easy Deals. You need to have a Citi credit card that is enrolled in Easy Deals to be eligible to purchase.
You can get McCorrick & Smidt (spelling?) ones from Costco(Online) $79.99 for 2@$50. They are part of Landry as well. I am waiting for Target to put theirs back on sale :)

There was no other information given, but I will assume that it will come when I get a confirmation that my order has been shipped. Has anyone else used this option?
I used this early on. It was a hassle.... USPS wouldn't deliver. Our mailman would just leave the slip and I would have to go to the post office to get it. I guess in retrospect, it's probably worth the hassle not to have to deal with lost packages.

I saw that...but they are all physical gift cards. I don't want to wait for them to arrive :( They are super slow when it is an eGift so I have no idea how slow they are if it is through the mail.

We live about 5 minutes away from the Post Office and I drive right past it at least three times a week so it would be fine with me if that's where they ended up. I just did another order for $250 so I feel a little better knowing that there won't be $750 in Disney gift cards hanging around in my mailbox.

They are reliable (at least with eGift cards. They are not open on the weekend and are on the west coast (they are only open for like 8 hours a day). It often takes over night to get the eCards in my account. If it is a weekend, it will be late in the day Monday, typically. They often have the better deals, but are pretty slow. I was going to buy from them this morning but they only have physical cards (up to 10 days to receive) it is showing. It's another chance for them to get lost in the mail in my thought process. I had 1 issue with a card from them and it was that they transposed a number. They fixed it through their Chat box ASAP.

UGH, I was just adding my first batch of gift cards to my DVA and they all went through except one. I got a weird error message and it let me try to resubmit the contribution but when I did it came up with insufficient funds. I checked the balance beforehand and it was $50, but that amount doesn't show up on my DVA now. On hold now to try and figure this out.

There have been a number of posts on this thread that give instructions on how to do this. Unless you read every page, it can be difficult to find. It would be nice if we could have the instructions as sticky.

I have actually explained it a number of times myself that I decided to post the instructions on my very new blog to end the repetition. Please delete this post if I am breaking any rules.

Awesome! !!! Thank you. So...to clarify...you click to pay with your Target card but actually pay with the gift card AND get your 5%? And nothing is charged to your Redcard?

UGH me too! I added 14 only to realize that the funds from 2 cards didn't get added in. I had to retype ALL of the stupid numbers onto the Disney gift card site to find which ones didn't take only to realize they all showed up as 0.00 balance. So I got shorted $100. I sent an email in--I wasn't able to get thru on the phone. I have faith that Disney will make it right but still annoying.

Good luck! Please let us know what happens.

Can you see the history of the card when you check the balance online? If so, it should be a fairly easy fix (I would think and hope) Good luck!!

For those who are having trouble with their DVA and if you have ios tablet/phone, when I get my gift cards in the mail (I know it is an extra step) I add them to my Disney gift card app then I add them to my DVA. Many of you probably do the same. I do this to check the balance and so I can keep track of the balance and as a double check to see that they were added to my DVA. It keeps history of the redemption. Also, if I have to request a refund from my DVA I can easily see what card it was refunded to (since they refund to the cards you paid with, traditionally). I label them Aug Res 1, Aug Res 2...,etc. If I add it to my DVA I put DVA at the end. Maybe I am over thinking things but as I read the issues some are having, I am thinking it is worth it. So far I have had no issues with cards not activated, or accounts not credited, or nothing missing in the mail (knock on wood as I am waiting for 3 small orders) so I am counting myself lucky. I have to do what I can to protect my little percentages off, lol.

ADD ME IN TOO!! Yikes, for those entering, I would hold off as I'm not going to enter any more until they fix this. Same thing, entered like I always do, received the same quirky message, then went to check the balance and it shows zero (from today) and like 4 entries of the same thing. Clearly they are still having issues but this concerns me as I'm never had this issue before. I'd much rather they take down the site again if they are going to have these issues.

I think I better call later as well and will be eager to hear the other responses.

Thanks,
Heather

I also take the time and label each and every card I use to enter into the DV account. I also print off the pages from the DV account website and track when I've "earned" a $20 and what I used to make the payments with. I've never had an issue entering a card that didn't give me credit, like above. It's happened to three of us now so clearly it's a website issue, which indeed is a little scary. I'm hoping it's easily fixed as the other issues like non-activated gift cards from Target and lost in the mail/stolen feel "bigger" but good gravy. :)

When I had a refund issued, it was issued into my DV account as a lump sum, not to my individual gift card I used, so just FYI. I'm sure it could differ depending on how the payment was made or what was used to pay what, but that was my experience.

Thanks,
Heather

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there a time when you could rebook a Southwest flight if the price dropped and they would issue you an airline credit for the difference? All without change fees? Anyone?... Bueller?...

This is still true. But the credit must be used by the original passenger within a year of the date that the original flight was booked. If RR points were used, they are returned to the original account with no penalty.

I called last night and the representative told me it should fix itself within a few hours but this morning the money still wasn't there. Trying to call this morning got me nowhere because some departments aren't open yet. Ughhh I have to wait until after to work to deal with this. In the meantime I'll email them from the website too. At least I know I'm not alone but this sucks!
