Beach club vs Boardwalk???

Have been members of Boardwalk for a while, never stayed at Beach club. Although I did stay at Yacht club once.

Going week before Christmas, should I switch to Beach Club instead of Boardwalk? Daughter is 13 guess she would love the pool.

We are just back from our first visit at The Beach Club and we were quite disappointed. The room was quite run down, hairdryer almost blew up and tv was not working properly. We looke at the new Boardwalk model room and it was beautiful.

Swimming is iffy in December. Switch if you want and can, but it is possible no one will be swimming. We were at BCV over New Years and neither of us used either pool.

We have stayed at both multiple times. We prefer BCV, although some of the rooms are dated. We have been in Disney in December where it was very cold and when it was 85 degrees. Have fun either way!

Have you checked the resort availability tool? Beach Club availability is kind of spotty for that week. Also, don't forget that BCV can take up more points per room than BWV.

About swimming....I believe all of the pools are heated. We did BCV over New Years once and the weather was not very nice. But kids love the pool no matter what. You really can't predict the weather in FL in winter....but at least they don't get 3 feet of snow at once.

Made the switch. Last Christmas stayed in Boardwalk and room was dated, although I hear the recently updated

December is extremely popular and you almost need to have the 11 month booking advantage to snag a room at BCV during that time. Of course, anything can happen. Can't hurt to try at 7 months and then there is always the waitlist. Good luck!

BTW, BCV is due to start a full soft and hard goods refurbishment any day now.
