Expedia have a deal on at the minute giving 2 free breakfasts a day at Cabana bay worth up to $26 a day.

They were £75 a night for our October dates in a normal room less 10% quidco or 10% off if you book via their app using code SPRING10.

Factoring in this and the breakfast it brings the room down to £50 a night.

We have already booked. We stayed there last October and are booked again for this. Thought it was a great hotel. You get early access and bus to universal but no front of line pass.

The room was bigger and nicer than a disney value.

Hope it helps someone.

I've checked again this morning and it is still showing on expedia.co.uk. Maybe it is select dates?

Our dates are 14th October - 24th. If you search these dates the deal shows up.

Thanks for sharing this. I've got an existing booking direct through the Universal website, however this Expedia deal offers better value, so I'd better cancel and rebook I guess!

Hi Dixonsontour,
Can I please check whether your booking confirmation specified the free breakfasts as mine didn't?
I've asked Expedia to confirm this and they're having to check with the hotel direct about it, which was nearly a week ago.....
Thanks

I didn't book this offer as had already booked with amoma sorry. I've seen a U.S. Travel agent also offering the deal if you book by 30th June for autumn dates. Hope you get confirmation sorted asap.

Hope you have more luck than I had with Expedia. They overcharged me for our hotel in Amsterdam over New Year. Can't remember exact amounts but they took around £20 or £30 more than they should have from my credit card. After about 20 emails I gave up, wasting more time than it was worth. I won't be rushing to use them again (although I said that last time I had a problem with them)

I find expedia great.... until you need to call them, then they are next to useless. Saying that I still use them from time to time. If you use them don't forget topcashback/Quidco you can get 10-12% back.

Used them 6 times for flights and hotels, 4 times had issues.
This time they overcharged me, now ignoring my emails so given up.
Twice booked hotels for 2 adults & 1 child, both times(1 Scarborough, 1 Amsterdam) no child bed, the one in Amsterdam took them until 2 AM to get it to our room. They both blamed Expedia for not notifying them.
First issue I had was 10 years ago when my Mum passed away, they would not refund the money for her seat even though 4 of us were still travelling. Contacted the airline who got Expedia to refund me no problem.
Just remembered I also booked iAmsterdam tix thru them with no problem but not a great record, rather use other sites where possible.

That's a lot of issues with Expedia! We have used them at least twenty times for flights and/or hotels and never had a problem. We do always contact the hotel directly to confirm the room/beds are correct, but would do this with any travel agent. Booked a "big" holiday with them for later this year. My only complaint is that they constantly decline cashback -seems they wait to see who claims for it...!

Thankfully never had cashback declined, even for the tix which was about 17 or 18% so no problems there.
Something I have never done is contact the hotel directly, I just expect it to be as I booked. Expedia are the only company I have had issues with, don't recall anything with any other company. Just bad luck I guess.

Something that shocked me about Expedia is with a lot of hotels after you have booked they actually fax the hotel the booking details... If that fax gets lost it creates issues at check in. Never happened to me thank god.

I had to cancel a DLP hotel once and despite it saying on my booking it was free to cancel Expedia wanted to charge me the full amount, took quite a few calls to them and to Disney in paris to get it sorted, they are an offshore call centre with sometimes poor English. I vowed not to use them again, but I have as the price was good.

One thing tho- their cashback always tracks and quickly, it even paid out on the cancelled hotel, which I kept after the hassle I had.
